[Johnson] As for the Jonathan Kuminga side of last night’s trade, sources say he was “shocked” to be sent to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks aren’t a team that his camp kept contact with and Atlanta was an “out of left field” destination. Fresh start feels good for both sides

  1. No more kuminga posts! We have had enough! I never wnat to see his name posted here! He had an insane amount of discussion already. More than some legends. Ban the word

  2. You wanted out brother, so this is what you got. Plus I feel like Atlanta actually is a good team for him to develop on. They’re not playing for much anyways.

  3. I’m now more convinced that MDJ made a revenge trade just to screw him and his camp😂

  4. More and more I think Lacob is incompetent (at managing a basketball team to win, not like Warriors real estate deals) but got lucky as hell with the Steph ankle and Durant. And I think that luck made him think he’s a genius so now he’s way too involved in everything. Because man have we don a lot of dumb shit.

  5. I’ll always be disappointed by how poorly JK was developed. He was done dirty, being picked by a team with no intention of investing time on the floor for his development. That said, he never did show a knack for understanding offensive flow. He’d have moments and make the right play when it was directly in front of him, but he rarely made a hockey assist type play.

Still, when ATL lets him play, and he puts up big empty numbers, it’s going to be so annoying here. It will be worse than the Poole stans.

  6. It’s crazy how some are so hung up on Kuminga, he isn’t going to be this crazy good player. He will go the way of Jordan Poole (who actually helped the Warriors to a championship) he didn’t want to be here and he got his wish I don’t see the problem.

  7. Good luck to Kuminga, but I doubt he’ll get the playing time opportunity he wants in Atlanta. Jalen Johnson is far and away the better player and Atlanta would be crazy to start Kuminga lol

  8. “Shocked”?!

Tf. JK has been pouty and bitchy for a few seasons now.

And he wanted to dictate where he could go?

Who tf does this guy think he is???

Glad he’s finally off the team

  9. Warriors are my passion team, but locationally I’ll also hope good things and root for the hawks. I think Kuminga is a good fit and their team is looking nice. I’m trying to be optimistic about Tingis

  10. Hopefully this creates the path for Kuminga to fire his agent. If JK thought Kerr was strict, he’s in for some shock at Quinn’s no-nonsense approach

  11. If you demand a trade and you’re not a superstar, you’re going one of 29 organizations. I’m shocked he’s shocked, but his camp seems pretty dumb.

  12. The fact homeboy thinks he’s such hot shit he gets to provide a shortlist for trade destinations that are acceptable to him… smh

  13. Hawks are a perfect team for him.

They love young players with raw talent.

Good luck JK show the world what you got in Hotlanta!

  14. I hope the best for JK, but also for all the people blaming Kerr for not playing him I’ll be happy they get to see that he’s gonna be 4th in the forward rotation behind Johnson, Risacher and Kispert. Its gonna be a struggle to get him minutes there due to his limitations and fit with the players they have.

I’m sure they are planning to either decline the contract next year or maybe they want it as an expiring to trade. If JK wants to be the guy with the ball in his hands it’s going to be on a really bad team. And even most of the bad teams have guys better than him.

  15. I wish the best for Kuminga. I’ll be rooting for him no matter where he goes. He just never fit with what Kerr wanted and by extension what Steph and the other vets wanted, and he couldn’t adapt. So now he is gone. Probably should have drafted Wagner at 7, but even then he might not have become the same player in the Warriors system that he became in Orlando. Playing time and fit are really important in development.

  16. Wow shocked. Yeah he got Ayton’ed. There was no way all those passive aggressive tweets to MDJ and Kerr was going to give them praise

  17. I’m confused on how his camp can have contact with teams during the season. Obviously it’s a grey line and anyone can speak to anyone but how is this any different than team tampering?

  18. There was a segment about going clubbing, staying in, or concert. Buddy chose Clubbing while everyone else chose to stay in for the night.

Have fun at magic city boys.

  19. *Millionaire 20 year old is blindsided and pissed that he doesn’t get exactly what he wants.*

  20. Boy the dubs really drove a hard bargain. Lol. Trade two guys for a guy that probably won’t play the rest of the year. So for an expiring contract. Shrewd…..
