Listed in reverse chronological order:

  1. HC Dale Mabry Site (2026) – Current renderings, attached to a larger development with a walkable neighborhood and improved transportation around Dale Mabry

  2. Creekside Site (2021-25) – The winning proposal of the St. Pete redevelopment saga, was announced to come to fruition with Longoria narrating a "here to stay" tribute to the area, but was later discontinued

  3. Orlando Dreamers Site (2023) – Proposed somewhat to threaten Tampa, a relocation to Orlando with a glass-heavy design sandwiched between freeways and a waterpark

  4. Gasworx District Site (2022) – More of a "fanfiction" than a reality-based design, this was going to link Ybor City and Downtown with a waterfront stadium and new district

5 through 7 (2021) – The 3 other finalists for the St. Pete redevelopment saga

  1. Sugar Hill Proposal – Redeveloped the Trop and parking lot into mixed-use development with a stadium and convention center

  2. Unicorp Proposal – Redeveloped the Trop and parking lot into stadium and large urban green space development

  3. Portman / Third Lake Proposal – Redeveloped the Trop and parking lot into mixed-use area with stadium with a goal of connecting the bordering neighborhoods

  4. CityScape Proposal (2012) – A proposed solution to the Rays distaste for the Trop, development proceeded without the stadium after Stu wouldn't accept the deal

  5. Al Lang Site (2008) – The original. The Rays proposed a waterfront stadium in St. Pete, wanted to pay for a third of it, and the city turned it down. We now time travel 18 into the future, and history has just repeated itself

Go Rays

  1. I’m not gonna lie. I wish we could’ve gotten this on a waterfront. The Al Lang sail stadium is cool, but logistically would be an nightmare and not in Tampa. The idea of the Rays playing with some awesome water sight-lines would’ve been great.

The SoFI Stadium-ification of every modern stadium today is boring.

  2. the Al Lang Sail was my favorite for personal reasons.

my grandmother played the organ for the St.Pete Cards there.

my dad let me skip school once as a young g kid to go see the Mets and the Cards in spring training ‘87. core memory.

I played a few games myself there in HS.

  3. Only 4 were officially proposals. The one over by Caralon was not ever anything other than some developer concept. Same with the Ybor Harbor one. A bunch of those were in pitches that were done to try and win the Trop redevelopment rights. There have only ever been 4 official renderings.
