  1. Yzerman is looking for top 4 LD not a RD. I double it would make any sens plus the fact that if they would give him terms (Yzerman dont want any rentals) I highly doubt he would give a 32 years old something like 5 years while ASP would be arguably fine next season or at worse the season after

  2. The wings could make it work. Ben and Weeger as second pair. Johansson and pelica 3rd pair. As both get older they would switch roles. Johansen and pelica could push to second line.

  3. Yawn. In other words, Yzerman's probably considering it. Is he an upgrade over Hamonic? Sure. But not a player I would give up much for.

  4. Zero chance Red Wings take that contract, not to mention Im sure SY has learned his lesson adding over the hill vets. Aside from drafting Mo, Ed and ASP his handling of the D corps has been disastrous. The 'throw ish at the wall and see if it sticks' approach at FA and the astronomical amount of 2nd round+ draft misses..Stevie's attempt to fix the D will make your head hurt. There is no way he wants another stain on his resume by adding another possible Petry for the next 5 years!!! I promise you the fans will never stop letting him hear it if he added another Petry making that much for the next 5 years😂

  5. All depends on price for the Wings. It would seem like a good fit but I don't think I'd overpay. If the price is reasonable, I'd be all for it.

  6. Weegar is better than Jensen, but what is the price? So far the rest of the D core has been pretty stellar this season. Anyone who watches the Sens games knows that if they had more than a wet piece of paper in net they'd easily be in the playoffs this year.
