  1. Gotta love Cousins' choices: Raiders, Browns, Jets — three of the most dysfunctional organizations in the NFL. Thanks for another good vid.

  2. People who like to talk about how Cousins "spurned" the Jets obviously don't remember a former Jet named Jason Taylor. Assuming Allar recovers from his injury, Ian, I like your scenario of Cousins and Allar. Especially because it doesn't rule out drafting another QB high next year.

  3. I would like cousins he is a smart savy veteran reads defenses well compared to the other available QBs he happens to fit what this team needs we have good backs
A pocket passer can and would work

  4. 1) Don't get the idea that Reich is going to be the Be-all/End-all Architect of the NY Jets Offense. Reich has made it known in no uncertain terms that he is nearing the end of the line. I would expect Reich to hold the OC-Assistant Head Coach Position for 2 maybe 3 years. The guy to watch is the guy the Jets Hire for QB Coach-Assistant OC that's the guy who is going to have to live with the Offense that Reich creates.

    2) San Francisco is not trading Mac Jones for a 4th Round or 5th Round Pick. The 9ers want to keep Mac Jones. If any team really wants MJ its a 2nd Round Pick take it or leave it.

    3) The Dolphins started Ewers over Zach Wilson because the Phishies are in Cap Jail for the next 2 Seasons. They need a Young QB on a Rookie Contract. Zach is a Free Agent and will command a 10 Million Dollar Base Salary Contract plus Incentives. Ewers is receiving 1 Million per Year

  5. Hello Ian, hope you are doing well, just thought I would check in here for a moment. There's one name you forgot to mention as a possibility. I say yes, Jets should go ahead and get Cousins or Brissett, keep Tyrod Taylor, AND, now here's the guy you didn't mention. Phillip Rivers and Frank Reich have crossed paths, and for whatever it was worth, Rivers did interview with the Bills for the HC spot. However, is there a possibility in which Rivers could be brought in as a QB coach, occasional situational player? The the Jets would have a really buzzing QB room with Brissett, Taylor, Rivers / QB coach. Just thinking out loud.

  6. Cousins, Mac Jones, would not be good fits for the Jets. Jets should not trade assets to fix a temporary problem such as a one or two season QB. Jimmy G has injury problems. Seems like we have the same talks every few years.

  7. Still early to see if a QB will get picked by the Jets in the 2nd round. I have my eye on Kaliakmanis. Pocket passer who can still run when needed. Durable, accurate, tall. Rutgers improved dramatically after he arrived. Would not be surprised if he gets picked in the 2nd round.

  8. We know a couple of things, we know that whatever QB the Jets sign will be a big improvement, and we know that we have a solid guy on the offensive side calling the plays.

  9. also .. I have to think Frank did some work on Will Levis that draft …. Who I keep saying I wouldn't hate rolling the dice on depending on the compensation… he was playing pretty well pre Callahan

  10. I like Mac Jones personally..i think learning under Shanaha like Darnold did allowed him to become a lot more of a polished QB and we saw that this year, definitely could be a trade option this year

  11. Jacoby all the way… PLEASE!!! No on Kirk Cousins, he is mental. No on CJ Stroud, dumb as a box of rocks. Sorry, that sounds horrible but fam watches a lot of Texans games.

  12. I don’t think it is a bad idea to offer minimum two firsts for CJ Stroud. They’ll probably have to offer more but it might be worth it.

  13. People saying Frank Reich doesn’t want a mobile QB are missing it. He wants a QB who wins from the pocket first and processes fast, not a statue. Luck and Wentz could both move.

That’s why Kyler Murray actually fits. In a structured offense with RPOs and play-action, he freezes linebackers and opens things up for Breece Hall. Reich gives him answers, not backyard ball.

If they go safe, Kirk Cousins makes sense. Brissett makes sense as a bridge if they draft someone like Nussmeier. If they want upside, Kyler is the move.

  14. Jacoby isn't the answer … all this good in the pocket talk what happens when the line fails ??? not mobile whatsoever these are young men coming off the line to hit not tagg the qb ….. after Rogers was hurt … ok linemen took it easy on him soft tackles etc buttttttttttttt once they saw him doing his magic …. started laying his old ass to the dirt …… gotta use those legs these days off football ….. far as Qb goes for the jets ….. point blank draft one …. an develop … alll those qbs in our past draft needed that just think about it half as had career turn around

  15. If im the other team & the Jets want my QB im going after your second or next year's 3rd pick cause I know you're desperate & will make u pony up suckas 😂

  16. Interesting list of QBs. I think one other item to consider is can whomever they sign adapt to a mentor type role (excluding Stroud though I can’t see Houston moving on from him). Can’t see that with Jimmy G, definitely can’t see that with Carson (who doesn’t seem to have been really popular with past teammates) and really Tua seemed to have some issues in the locker room in Miami last year. Absolutely do not want Tua, way too fragile. I don’t see SF moving on from Jones given that Purdy isn’t exactly durable. I think a year of Kirk or Jacoby is something that would fit with where the Jets are as a team right now.

  17. The reason why you got Frank Reich is because he had no other offers. He’d be a fool not to take guaranteed money even with the Jets plus next year he’ll be the interim coach after the fifth game when you guys are one and five.

  18. You’re gonna have to give up a second round pick if you want Mac like I said Purdy is always hurt and they got Mac for 3 1/2 million total peanuts you’re not getting him plus he can’t throw on a run. He’s got a weak arm.

  19. What are you talking about? Are you losing it? Robert Salas the coach of the Titans now he’s not the DC for the 49ers anymore. Come on Ian what’s wrong with you.

  20. I'm down for Cousins, Brissett or someone of similar nature, a competent place holder. I don't wanna over spend on another QB like Rodgers and Fields we can't get desperate like usual, especially when we don't have the roster to support a playoff run. Build this roster the right way.

  21. Jets gotta sign Seumalo or Tevin Jenkins. We need to get better at the Guard position.

I'd wait a bit on a QB. Gotta build the team first, then put the QB in the team.
Can we do that for once?

  22. I hope the the Jets go after the Jeff Stouland now that he's left the Eagles I think he'd fit in well with Reich and would transform our O line and running game and along with coach Dunbar our trenches would be possible best in the league..now if we only had a QB..my choice is Chambliss hopefully in the 4th round and please Jets stay away from Kyler Murray

  23. Mough is smart, he not phucking with Kirk Completion Cousins. Why? Because of his contract situation. He wants way too much guaranteed money. That will eat into what Mough could do in free agency capital wise. Not happening. Rich is a Qb whisperer. I would expect the Jets to keep both JF, and Brady Cook to develope them. Everyone talks about the Qb play last year, but let's keep it real, all the Qb's on the roster struggled to complete passes. The TANNER ENGSTRAND offense was the issue. Glenn wanted a HC on Offense and that didn't happen with Tanner. I think Richard offense will be simple enough to score whenever they need to. It won't be this highly sophisticated offense Tanner tried to install.

  24. Just watched a Drew Allar highlight vid…
He's got the size and arm talent ( similar to Josh Allen)
more mobile and elusive in the pocket than I thought..

Think Jets should take him in the 4th if he's there…
but, if he throws at the combine.. someone (maybe Steelers)
could grab him in the 2nd round
