I hope he excels somewhere else. Don’t forget Jevon Carter couldn’t get on the court for the Nets and wound up as a starter for multiple years and teams.
He had a good run with us, but it was time.
For the record, he was shopped before the deadline and no one would trade for him and the contract we gave him in the off-season. And some people thought he’d get 25mil.
Personally I’m excited to see how he plays for another team. Players tend to leave us and go onto have successes so I expect the same for Cam. I’ll be cheering him on. I wish he could’ve been our third in the future (when we finally got our top 3 pick and superstar signing but that’s alright it wasn’t supposed to happen that way.

At practice in the park in pre-season he was the overwhelmingly most popular player on the roster and he is an undeniably elite scorer respected by his peers. 24ppg and before that 22ppg. And waived.
An all-time fumble by a front office but I guess having Steve Nash and JV as your first two coaches really do stunt development.
Steve Nash and JV are the two worst head coaches of the past decade in the NBA.
JV was dark, dark days.
I’ll remember the first month of so with him and Dennis both averaging over 20. It was a fun watch tbh.
How many “stars” are we going to go through before we’re consistently good?

Sucks. I really liked him.
He fumbled the bag this offseason. He’ll be lucky if he doesn’t have to learn Mandarin or Turkish within the next 2 or 3 years.
