[Smith] The fact that Boston went from miles over the second apron to completely under the luxury tax in two transactions windows (offseason and trade deadline) AND have maintained being a playoff team is remarkable. Incredible work on the part of everyone involved. Gap Year Schmap Year.

We are about 20mil below the tax next year too
We can add Tatum and a 20mil player to this team…and stay under the tax next year
We built a contender, tore it down, practically built it back up again, and the only future 1sts we used were the 2029 1st and a 2028 swap (we still have a 1st in 2028 and can draft a player that year)
New owners happy.
Yep
Brad should get another EOTY award.
The financials are nice but the drafting is more important. Things would look a whole lot different if these young wings weren’t showing out.
Now they can eventually make trades to fill out the margins and pounce like 2024.
Now imagine if Sacramento gets the 1OA and we trade Brown to bring Dybantsa home further extending the contention period. Maybe might even open the way for Flagg to come home as a free agent as well in a couple years.
Brad Stevens outsources his tanking and tax issues to other franchises.
Brad is Red reincarnated
Good thing Brad is at the helm, a real genius! 😊
The goal all year has been to get under the taxes, not to compete
