  1. I dunno about y’all, but this 3-week Olympic break couldn’t get here soon enough.

    Brutal last few games after weathering the injuries well enough all year. Losing 5 of 6. Giving up points to all our Atlantic Division foes. Dropping so many 1-goal games in the 3rd period to crappy teams in the West. It ***feels*** like it’s over given how insanely competitive the Eastern Conference is this year.

    Tonight went about as expected. Tampa’s hard to beat anyway. Now pile all the injuries + Vasy playing out of his mind. We had double as many shots as they did and trailed 3-0. 3rd period extracurriculars aside… the only way we beat him tonight was a rebound off his backside after it hit the post lmao.

    I am happy to get away from NHL action for the next little while. Hope one of our boys on any of the Olympic teams takes the gold medal. I’m not getting my hopes up, but if we can get a few bodies back post-break (*namely Marchand back fully, Seth Jones, some depth like Gadjovich*) that opens the door for me to even have a lil delusion of rattling off a win streak just to make things exciting. Until then!

  11. I hope Tarasov is okay…. I know tonight wasn’t his best game ever but like he’s important, hopefully the Cats can go more than one game without someone getting hurt post Olympics.

  14. let me just recap—our coach got ejected, our backup goalie got injured, forsling whooped someone, and most importantly it wasn’t a shutout.

    hopefully everyone enjoys this break. it’s much needed. i hope everyone going to the olympics does well and please, please… not too many injuries 😭✌🏻

  21. GG Tampa! Coming into tonight’s game – Cats look like a depleted division after the battle of Stalingrad and the look on the Bolts faces at game’s end like they climbed Mt Everest.

    Bad bounces, and we didnt bury our chances. That game could have gone the other way.

    But that was the absolutely last minuscule chance to get into playoffs. 

  25. Honestly fuck the score. I hate Moser so fucking much and watching him get worked by Forsling (noted heavyweight) has made my day.

  26. After the scratch on E Rod and Marchy and Ekblad I knew we were in for a beating.

    But I wasnt expecting it to be so….odd. we were shooting a lot and their net was just on lock down.

  27. honestly result is what i expected, doesn’t make it suck any less especially since tarasov didn’t play his best. but saw chucky and forsling fight (in person) so worth my money. this break couldn’t come any sooner

  31. Hard to point out a more clear cut scheduled loss than this. Especially with the scratches we had. Pretty sure we were down to over 50% depth guys. Hopefully all the Olympians stay healthy and the rest of the guys get rested and ready for the home stretch. Gonna need a hell of a run to make it, but if they do, I can see them making another run
