Chris Illitch will regret his actions when he is old and frail. His father Mike is disapointed in his actions.
Good for him honestly. 19M was way too low even if there was precedent

Us being cheap was a decent working theory…until last night.
Now I don’t see Illitch really giving two shits about a 13 million dollar difference in payroll.
What do we think about Rogers at catcher this year as a backup? Is he staying healthy enough to be the everyday backup yet play enough games?
Any way we can improve there?
Regardless we still had him for next season. From a business standpoint would have made sense to pay him the 19 and save for more pitching. A happy pitcher is a better pitcher though. Illitch has to open his checkbook lol
