Will they make him change his name to “Azzurro?”
Hyped for him and Sam
Solid team. Altavilla was good for us, good to see him on a national team. Cags was fun to watch in college, and I’ll root for him in the WBC but I’ll never root for the success of the Royals.
Teel? That’s an Italian name

Ooh!
team is way better than i would have thought without seeing the roster. altavilla is the man – looked like a nu metal band member which is something the sox need to really hone in on in the player development process. konerko and companys metal fandom was a key component to the success of the 2000s teams.
I genuinely love that the Italian team is just a bunch of American guys with extremely Italian names
Antonacci sticking as a backup infielder is a good sign.
This looks more like a menu than a roster. My Italian ancestry is offended by my own comment.
This team would finish around .500 and that’s kind of impressive for Italy
Man we have a bad team, but glad to have Teel on it. Gives me a reason to watch.
The way these national teams work is a joke. It should be someone at least from or living in the country they are representing. Not some random guy with a tenuous connection
I hope Sam gets some ABs
That’s kind of a fun roster
I’m just stoked the WBC was such a hit these guys all want to compete now.
