As far as blockbuster trades go, this honestly isn’t that crazy. I would say odds are higher than not that he goes *somewhere* this offseason. His cap hit this year also is pretty small due to the structure of his contract. He’s my biggest “do whatever it takes to get him”
Unless he takes a massive pay cut this would not be a good idea. Star edge rushers/defensive players in general are almost never worth the cost to trade
I doubt they make a big splash on defense. They need a lot of lower-market guys to fill needs for the scheme change (PJ Locke, John Franklin Myers, Leo Chenal, etc). Crosby is more of a 4-3 DE anyway. If they make a splash it’ll be at outside receiver on offense.
Idk I’m more of a JFM or Muhammed fan this off-season tbh. I still want enough for a Doubs/Pierce pure deep ball type as well. Won’t get that if we get Maxx.

I’m probably in the minority on this sub but, I don’t think it’s worth it to trade two 1st round picks for a DE when we have way more holes to fill.

No duh. It’s called due diligence. He’s gotta call to at least gauge the market which will shift wildly as we get closer to the combine and draft. It could set the market for other trade options, or Crosbys market could be affected by cost of trades prior to his trade. 1000 constantly moving pieces. I bet he makes 100+ calls weekly around the league that ultimately lead nowhere.

Really good player but I’m not wasting my godfather package for Crosby, he’s not the caliber of a force multiplier that Myles Garrett or Justin Jefferson would be. I’d rather prioritize flexibility & youth by building through the draft, a lot of holes need to be filled
