I apologize to this guy. I once thought he was just a liability out there. This dude gives 120% every damn game. Love that he gets nearly a month off to start blasting more dudes

  1. I love watching Trenin skate around like a heat seeking missile looking for the next guy to hit. He is incredibly fun to watch

  2. Phrasing aside, the dude is a pure wrecking ball out there! When the Kremlines is on a heater it’s cause he’s out there separating opponents from the puck on the forecheck so yurov and Vlad can go for the kill.

  3. He is on pace for over 400 hits this season, the franchise record is 356 by Cal Clutterbuck, and he would be 2nd place for hits in a season in NHL history with a gap of over 20 hits between him and 3rd

  4. Here’s a guy who clearly wants to improve and earn his spot every night. His skill and descision making have improved dramatically since he joined us. Along with that his efforts are more than nost players on the ice, every single shift. Love to see the guy getting more looks.

  5. The way he’s blasting all these dudes, you’d think there was some sort of a heated rivalry

  6. He’s also on pace to break his highest season point total. I have to admit I was not impressed with Yak last year, but this year he’s becoming exactly what the Wild had hoped when we signed him. As far as a 3rd/4th line depth piece, I don’t think you could ask for much more.

  7. Yes!!! Rags to riches (in terms of effort to success). A phoenix. 🐦‍🔥

Trenin has been just what we need in the exact role he is playing and he is playing it perfectly. The difference between him last year & this year is inspirational.
    He deserves a standing ovation.

  8. My family always says “choo choo” when we see him making a bee line for either the goal or a player.

  9. Definitely owe him an apology as well, dude is all effort…he just missed so many goals to start the season, but effort has always been there. Now on this all Russian line, they’re starting to gel and really be a force.

Close to owing Tarasenko an apology as well.
