Wow was it common knowledge that he was a catcher at one point or was this a WBC special circumstance? Also, love that the WBC has gotten more and more popular.
Braun probably thought the throw was antisemitic.
Beautiful throw, awful non existent tag. But it was Ryan Bruan, so not mad.
Kenley Jansen did make an appearance as a pinch hitter in his rookie year in 2010. He got a single off Kyle Kendrick
So far he is 3/10 at the plate in his career, including an RBI double in 2017
This footage is clearer than shit from 2020
Crazy throw, awful tag. Wild Braun couldve/shouldve been safe
If you asked me to name active career .300 hitters I would probably forget him
Have we been mispronouncing his name this whole time?
Kid’s got a good arm
Oh good we recently gained a need for some catcher depth so it’s good that we got a guy already
I did NOT know Kenley was a catcher. Holy.
I didn’t know Jansen was anti-semitic
The only pitcher in mlb who threw out a runner at the wbc I bet
I think its amazing the number of all-time star pitchers that were originally position players
Netherlands almost needed a new pitcher there. Yikes.
Wow
I feel Chapman could have also been a catcher. Dude certainly would have gunned people trying to steal. The only other thing he would need to do is block the ball and catch it
damn, you can see his natural cutting action in that throw
Buck Martinez sighting! He sounds so young
Nice throw, but no tag on the runner at 2nd base.
Definitely safe but Bruan so….
Throwing out a guy on PED’s is impressive
He grew like another 3 inches after this too
Kenny yansen
What an athlete! Dude could’ve played shortstop with those hands and arm
Kenley is just gigantic behind the plate, even bigger than Joe Mauer
