After seeing all the bad bounces, weird falls, and odd puck movement this season..

  1. Just saw something that Don Moffat, our ice guy is gonna be responsible for the ice surface at the rink in Italy for the Olympics.
Edit. Include name and a word

  2. It’s tough swapping back and forth between a hockey rink and a basketball arena. They do a pretty good job but there’s only so much they can do.

  3. I think it’s the slippery, too fast, almost-figurrrd out playing style yea. We will see. Ice isn’t good most the time after 10 minutes into the period, it’s ice. Not enjoying ice jokes myself either right now. Good game today.

  4. My take on hockey or for that matter all sports, it is a series of mistakes and bad bounces. The AVS do the best that they can to exploit and take advantage of the opponents bad bounces and mistakes. Likewise the AVS try to mitigate and prevent the opponent from taking advantage of their mistakes and bad bounces. Ball arena is aging. Players from our team and other teams have been complaining about the ice quality. It just adds to the reasons for teams to be wanting new arena.

  5. I played at ball after an Avs game a few weeks ago. The ice was very good. It’s on the hard side of the spectrum, but that is a choice they make. I would doubt the ice is any cause for concern.
