So what’s the honest assessment of vooch? Defensively we all know he isn’t great but I think a some people were overdoing just how bd he was. I think he got blown by once or twice but aide from that I think he was average.
My real question is how his offense might impact us. The three man game he was involved in in the second half was working. He basically took the switch down low every time. He heated started switching a bigger guy on him and vooch still was aggressively putting that guy under the basket.
We certainly didn’t seem prepared to get him the ball in those situations. We did a couple of times but it took us a minute to get it there.
Is that something we want to be part of the offense? Will it clog our offense or slow it down? Honest question, as he is also a good oassser so getting him the ball could open up other good looks. But it’s not something we’ve had in the offense for a while.
Vooch is gonna destroy 2nd units. That becomes less valuable in the playoffs when starters play more, and I’ll definitely still be worried about his defense in those situations.
But he absolutely going to mash teams the rest of the regular season.
I’m going to miss Simons as much as anyone but this guy has never been on a team like this, we might have Al 2.0.
