The Vikings Already Regret Letting Sam Darnold Go… 😤 #Shorts #SamDarnold

Sam Darnold went from “seeing ghosts” with the Jets to starting the SUPER BOWL with the Seattle Seahawks. The Minnesota Vikings let him walk after a 14-win season where he got MVP votes — and now Justin Jefferson is publicly frustrated with the QB situation.

Jefferson said he needs “an elite quarterback” to stay in top conversations. Meanwhile, JJ McCarthy hasn’t played a single NFL snap. Is he a bust before he even started?

The Vikings chose McCarthy over keeping Darnold. Now Darnold might win a ring, Jefferson might demand a trade, and Minnesota might have made the worst decision in franchise history.

  1. What MikeroClown is too dumb to know (or doesn't care) is Darnold signed a 1-year deal in Minny to BE A BACKUP. It was common knowledge going into that draft Minny was taking a QB in the 1st round – McCarthy 10th overall.
McCarthy looked fine his 1st camp and in pre-season and was going to start – THEN tore up his knee.
    (b) Darnold stepped in and played great, so great it would take AT LEAST $30M/year to keep him which was NOT going to happen BECAUSE McCarthy was coming back. AND Darnold was now seen as a STARTER, not a backup, and Minny wasn't going to pay Darnold $35M to be a backup.
O'Connell said ALL SEASON they were not going to re-sign Darnold…they had McCarthy. Darnold would hit free agency. For some reason, the idiots in the media refused to believe that.

  2. Too bad that J.J. McCarthy can't play the Lions every week. It's the ONLY time that he looks good. Keeping Jefferson happy should be JOB ONE.

This had to be a MAJOR factor in the firing of Kweisi the GM.

  3. I’m sorry to say this because usually I level with you but you have no idea what your talking about with saying that they just let him walk they had a top ten pick in the draft and drafted J.J before anyone knew he was good and they would’ve had to let go all their good players on their defense

  4. I'm pretty sure any good QB (Lamar, Allen, Brady, Rodgers, etc) would have flopped in Jets and Panthers. Terrible organizations and coaching staff but at least Panthers are turning things around.

  5. Sam wAsnt a bust ur just a hater

when he got drafted there was no real help so he isn't trash…

Put some respect on his name my guy is in the super bowl! (Aye Mike )Eat a frank !

  6. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me to see JJ to the Eagles for AJ at this point. I mean JJ would’ve been an Eagle if Howie knew how to draft a receiver but he goes somewhere they can get him the ball because he is way too good not to have a QB

  7. I've been saying I think Daniel Jones Is it okay quarterback and if my Eagles because I'm an Eagles fan had somebody like Daniel Jones they be a top five passing offense because I think hurts is one of the worst quarterbacks when it comes to throwing the rock the man average 175 yards passing per game this year with all them weapons

  8. I just recently heard that Darnold came into the league at 20 years old. That is extremely young for a quarterback. I hpoe for the best for J.J McCarthy, but it is ridiculous all the quarterbacks that Minnesota let walk. People will always judge McCarthy based on decisions that were made by the Vikings that are not his fault.

  9. I mean he’s right except his take on Rogers. You still don’t shade your QB like that unless you want a trade, which he probably does. I still think JJ will be pretty good long term, even next year. But Sam Darnold is a huge miss. He’s had back to back not even really good but GREAT seasons.

  10. I love how its never mentioned vikings had a big offer for darnold and jones and they chose to go elsewhere justin jefferson isnt leaving keep dreaming

  11. You mention the turn around starting in San fransico, but note that this is the 'biggest mistake the vikings ever made.' I would argue that it is a bigger mistake to let Darnold walk and the give Purdy a 55/yr million contract than to let Darnold walk for a rookie contract that is easily replaceable. And yet the narrative is Vikes blew, SF totally OK. Just Imagine if the 49ers gave him a 4 year 20 million dollar contract instead of letting him walk to MN for 1 year 13 mill. SF is already good, and with 30million more a year in cap space with Darnold over Purdy seems like more of a tragedy.

  12. That's ridiculous, Sam used the Vikings not believing in him to be the player he is now. If he stayed with the Vikings he would not be going to the super bowl Sunday.😊

  13. Darnold got s below market value deal because the entire NFL didn't believe in him. I wish the NFL world would quit acting like the Vikings dropped the ball. 30 other teams didn't sign him either.
