  1. Husso isn't a FA after this season, he has one more left of a 3 year. One of those head scratching signings by Beeker. Also it would be interesting to see what the numbers look like GF, GA, PP, PK, Goalie numbers, etc, if that brutal 11 game stretch was taken out.

  2. Speaking this existence because one can dream…… Ducks make it to the western conference finals on the back of Dostal or shall I say DostWALL . πŸ¦†πŸ§±

  3. I still operate with the cautious optimism that this Ducks even MAKING the playoffs is them outperforming for how young they are. Everyone says Habs are young, but the Ducks has the most percentage of goals coming from 23 and under players, by a big margin. Ducks might not be the youngest team by average, but by effective participation they are. What they've been doing without the playmaking of Leo Carlsson for this string of games is super confidence inducing. Beckett Sennecke showing without Gauthier, Carlsson, Terry and McTavish he couod find a way to show leadership on ice and win games. It's also allowed other young players to step up, like the always-underrated Zellweger.

Really stoked for the promise of this team. Anything playoffs this year is a bonus. And the way they play is so all or nothing that they could surprise even one of those top central teams, I swear. Especially with Dostal in net, it's a team that can go on massive runs.

  4. I jumped the gun a little bit earlier this season when I said that Leo Carlsson is on the same level as Bedard and Celebrini. He's still damn good and he's underrated. But there's a big gap between Carlsson and Celebrini.

  5. Hope Trouba re-signs with us. Gudas and Strome have to go imo. I'm surprised to see Mintyukov mentioned here, looks like he took the few healthy scratches personal and has looked very good since then.

  6. speaking of the Ducks back up goalie situation it will be really interesting to see how well Damien Clara performs for Italy. If he plays well enough maybe he's got a shot at a more permanent spot on the Gulls roster and Anaheim moves up someone like Calle Clang for some NHL time. idk if Clang would be any kind of upgrade over Husso tho.

  7. I say the ducks do make the playoffs this year for no other reason than Gibson getting himself traded because he wanted to be on a playoff contender team. Irony dictates that the Ducks make the playoffs

  8. Wish we could move Killer and Strome even though I have nothing against either. Both seem like hard workers but Kil bout done, Strome needs a change of scenery, and they both taking spots and minutes that could be used to develop Colangelo, Neistrenko, McQueen next season and Harkins is out playing both also most nights.

  9. but will Buffalo be able to make the playoffs? They lost their last 3 out of 4 and only beat the Panthers which isn't saying much.

  10. id definitely take a first round and out for this team…but…people shouldn't overlook Dostal's ability to steal a game or two…also they are a physical team that takes dumb penalties, but those arent called as much in the playoffs sooo…probably still a first round exit team but might be a closer series than ones would think

  11. Considering how much criticism Verbeek has received over the last few years, he deserves a lot of praise now that everything is coming together. He hasn't signed any long term bad contracts, he's made the right choices in the drafts, and he's at least 50/50 on the veterans he's brought in for the younger skaters to learn from. Imo Krieder and Trouba are the best acquisitions, the younger skaters have made big strides since each was acquired.
