You guys crack me up with your QB talk. Judd in particular is more fickle than a 2 bit call girl. For how many years have you screamed about not overpaying for a QB and the need to draft and develop a QB. And you even said you knew that for better or worse there would be growing pains. Now instead of recognizing that for that plan to work, you have to be willing to stay the course. Instead you are complaining they didn't keep Darnold or Jones at an inflated price or sign a Rogers.
Sorry Things dont happen overnight. Injuries or not, Mc'Carthy probably needed a year like this, and he showed improvement by the end of the year. The Rookie QBs that are stars their first year are still the exception and not the norm. Deal with it. Stick to one opinion or the other. If you really want to develop a QB then do so. But dont throw a tantrum if the first year is less than stellar and start blabbing on how they should have went for the high priced or/and antique QB instead. Wasnt it Judd who kept saying they brought KOC in to "find and develop a QB"? Now we mostly hear him say how letting go of Darnold was a mistake even though you all for the most part admit that even if they had brought Darnold back the Vikings still likely aren't in the SB. If wining the SB just once before we die is the goal then why pay a QB exorbitant amounts of money if you dont feel he will get you there??
If you want to just throw the bulk of financial resources at the QB position, fine then stick with that. But, remember how well that worked with Cousins. So expensive they had to get rid of (let walk out the door) players they couldn't pay and not be able to afford to bring in free agents that might have helped.
Personally if I were the Wilfs. I put this all on KOC now. "No. You will not, and may not go out and pay some outrageous price for a QB. You wanted McCarthy because you felt you could develop him. You are the one who said organizations fail QBs more often than QBs fail organizations. Now prove the boast. You live or die now on your ability to do exactly that. You're supposed to be the QB whisperer..go whisper."
To get back to the who organizations failing QBs bit. Isn't that what KOC does (failing the QB) when he insists on running what he wants to run instead of tailoring his offense to fit the QB, and that QBs level of experience?
All the love for analytics has been a disaster. There are a ton of coaches who are sitting at home and not in the super bowl because of too much reliance on analytics. Way too many points left on the field due to listening to the analytics geeks.
McKown is ruining JJ’s development and needs to be GONE. There have been draft misses, but QB development falls on KOC and McKown. Both have failed him.
No matter what Jones was told he just saw the Vikings usher Darnold out the door so their belief in JJ must have been so strong that he could not sign with the Vikings when he had a starting opportunity with the Colts.
Darnold is winning cause of Seattle system Seattle won 10 games last year
We all know the problem with this team since it started. Theyre soft, theyve always been soft top to bottom. We need to stop talking about Super Bowls and except the fact that this franchise is on the level of the Jets. This team has always been run by little boys. Until a man takes it over there will be no Super Bowls.
The owners only want to win if everybody gets along in building that dont win that's why they didnt get harboua a better coach
The drafting wasn't problem bad play calling cost you 3 games
Absentee owners. That’s a problem
He didnt want rogers cause he would of changed plays like farve Kevin wouldn't handle that
Gm don't matter bad play calling
KOC DIDN'T WANT JJ
Me: The video of KOC on a phone call with Mcvey says otherwise.
Bring in Aaron Rodgers for a year and let JJ back him up. Send Rodgers and KOC packing if they can’t win at least 1 playoff game.
The Daniel Jones thing only looks bad in hindsight. No one thought he would all of a sudden play really well in Indy. Most people had no faith in him being a winning starter.
If the Wilfs actually believe that KOC had no interest in JJ,and it was all Kwesi then the Wilfs are actually more stupid than I thought.
Exactly, the scouting department…..heads need to roll there too! And who in the hell thought hey! Let's hire Ryan Grigson! He'll be a great addition to the front office! I mean, he screwed the Colts up an Andrew Luck. Yea! Let's hire him Wilfs….
Apparently, the concept of taking a step back to go two steps forward doesn’t come to mind with ownership lol
Wilfs forced Kwesi to take KOC when he wanted Harbaugh. KOC is likely to screw up next year as he did this year–except he won't have anyone else to blame next year.
7:38 lol……. bingo
I wish owners could be on the hot seat. 4 playoff wins in 20 years. Sad
Timing matches up with Brian Flores signing a new contract. Brian probably made the demand that they have a new GM if they want him to come back.
Guess what Kwesi got fired! Episode 7 same shit
It's a good start to remove the obvious "rotten apple" from the basket! I knew he would not work out 4 years ago, don't ask me how!
Curious if Kwesi has said anything about his firing? I have not seen a press conference or a quote from him.
Man, I was so upset with the Oline situation this year. You go and spend a bunch of money on the line and then you have one of the highest possible combination of rotations? Really embarrassing.
If I had an asset valued at 6.25 billion you bet your ass I would be here. Who the hell watches it remotely? 😂
The triangle of authority sounds like 3 monkeys where one covers his eyes, one covers his ears and one covers his mouth.
Ive read a rumor that jj McCarthy wants to get traded to another team. He supposedly said he wants to be on a team that's not silly.
Always a great episode with you two footbally football dudes
Let´s Go!!! Skol! 🏈💜💛
Did anyone on the 2025 Vikings offense earn the right to say I’m the unequivocal starter in 2026?
Not all billionaires are built the same. There should be a deep dive on how the Wilfs made their fortune.
Speilman was fired because he couldn’t find a qb. Four years later, we’re still looking. Wilf’s = 🤡
