  1. Who cares about Tucker!? He was good for like 2 months. Dodgers can have him. I would rather have Bregman. I think we are definitely better. No trade with Nico or Shaw.

  2. Unless they don't try to win again this year. Either Shaw or Nico has to be traded by the deadline. Even if they trade Nico for prospects, they can trade those prospects for other needs like a legit closer and a right handed hitting outfielder. Nico had no power and you can't depend on a young guy like Shaw to be a bench guy. He has to play every day. Comparing Shaw to Bryant or EL MAGO is just plain stupid.

  3. And the cost of Skee ball is enough at $31 mill. But the biggest issue is the fact he's a 1-yr rental & you'd have to unload your franchise. So that makes no sense at all.

  4. I wish people would really shut up about this Nico extension… Nobody knows, he may very well want to try to find a job as a shortstop!! Both sides have to agree folks. Why would he not want to look into free agency? What does it cost him? Thank people!!

  5. Cubs can trade for Skubal with: Boyd, Wiggins, and a position prospect (outside of top 10 prospect) .
Tigers will get a #2 starter to compete this year with 15m less. And get a top pitching prospect.
Cubs will get a #1A starter to go for the WS with only 15m more on payroll. With Skubal leading the way, this starting unit can really challenge Dodgers:
    1. Yamamoto – Skubal: advantage Skubal
    2. Snell – Horton : even
    3. Ohtani – Cabrera : Ohtani
    4. Glassnow – Steele: even
    5. Sheenhan – Shota : Shota
    6. Any – Taillon : Taillon

Offense is also can compete with Dodgers that Cubs are 1-10 deep versus Dodgers have more superior 1-6.
Bullpen is also even with more depth on Cubs versus Dodgers have better top 3 relievers.

All with half the payroll 😂😂

  6. Not to be rude but I am interested in what Ballesteros looks like… period. He needs to stay fit. I am still hoping some catching might be in his future. Its not impossible to do as Kyle Schwarber is a great example of someone who really hit the gym to make him a better all-around player. I want Ballesteros to come to camp looking jacked. A great hit tool who will have outstanding pop if he ever gets where I think hes capable of getting.

  7. Hes the thing with Nico guys.. if the Cubs really wanted him he would already have been extended. Nico had a great year but with BABIP playing such and important role in Nicos approach some regression wouldnt be a stretch of the imagination.
