I thought I'd post this here, for those interested in a deep look behind-the-scenes with the team that puts together the TV broadcast. My Dad (a retired radio engineer) and I have a YouTube channel where we explore broadcast tech, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to embed with the broadcast truck and learn about how it all comes together.
I initially planned on talking about the gear… but had no idea how many people were involved in putting together the show. Or that there were actually three separate 'broadcasts' at every game — the away team has their own truck, and internally the Blues put together an in-house show as well, with the same set of skills (from robocams, to graphic artists, etc.).
Hopefully you find something interesting in the video. And maybe after the break we can start finding a win streak or two!
