  1. not watching screw that. the team is not serious and completely running it back. in no other sport does this happen unless you’re the yankees and have these kinds of fans

funny thing is people are actually farming engagement with these stupid posts and videos. the team and the fans are NOT SERIOUS

  2. As much as I understand the “running it back” people, we also do have a solid team to work off of. We made the divisional series, and that was without Gerrit Cole, and Cam was only on the team for the end of the year.

  3. They’re definitely a better team than they were on opening day last year. They have a real MLB caliber 3B, an actually usable bench, Cam looks legit and Gerrit Cole will be back soon. Anyone who was excited for the roster going into the 2025 season has no reason to be less excited going into 26.  The issue is that it’s questionable if they’re better than they were at the end of last season.

  4. the team is going to be good again this year but making a video about why yankees fans should be optimistic with an anthony volpe thumbnail is nasty work

  5. I’ll take the same team with Cole and no Williams.

Schlitt is going to win some games too.

They win the division with 96 games.

  6. People tend to forget that this team could’ve had 100 wins last year if it wasn’t for Devin Williams

  7. Sorry boys, they’re not good enough as currently constructed, just another year older and tons of ” what ifs” about the injured pitchers coming back and lots of “hopefully” this guy improves type feelings

  8. Things are looking up, maybe this year we can lose in the ALCS instead of the ALDS.

  9. 5 reasons to expect a similar early playoff exit:

    1) bullpen
    2) Boone
    3) teams inability to hit in the postseason
    4) too left handed
    5) too reliant on hr, not enough bat to ball

    16 years of proof

  10. My entire problem is not that Yankees are going to be bad, of course we’re going to be good, it’s been 30+ years in a row of winning seasons we are a consistently good team, it’s just I don’t think this team has enough to win a World Series. It’s good not great season for the past decade and a half and that’s the problem.

  11. With, hopefully, better pitching and a better closer, they should win the division. They could have done that last year if not because of Devin Williams.

  12. Not watching that. Can already tell you how this season will go. The Yankees will be in the mix for winning the division and will make the playoffs. However, once in the playoffs they will stop hitting and start striking out as if they were suppose to. That and they won’t win the World Series.

  13. With Cole, Rodon and Schmidt out to start the season, that SP depth is going to be shaky.

What’s the Opening Day rotation? Fried, Schlittler, Warren, Gil and Weathers? Lot of question marks in there.

  14. One reason why Yankee fans should not be optimistic for 2026 – Aaron Boone. End of discussion.

  15. I’m reminding myself they’re building a team knowing there will be a trade deadline in which they’ll (in all likelihood) have assets that has increased in value.

Whether it’s: Gil, Warren, or Dominguez I suspect they’ll all positively answer some questions about them by then & therefore increase in value.

Jones too obviously but for whatever reason I have little to no doubt he will ever amount to much more than a hyped prospect. Hope he makes me eat my words
