The trade cards are on Dana’s court. The people the Astros have is too many infielders. We also don’t want Duran we want Wilyer
Astros fan here and yes secondary Boston fan as well the stros want Wilyer as the issue is the stros want under the salary cap to avoid the 3rd time penalty. It is not entirely impossible of a three team trade but we have to see what they are a cooking. On Paredes have seen a lot of missinfo the book on him was he is an average 3b defensively but having watched him last year before the injury he held his own and was a good replacement for Bregman hint. Bat wise he is a tough out for opposing pitchers has a good eye at the plate and pull power that is made for both Daikin and Fenway parks. When my stros got Correa it pretty much sealed Paredes fate at 3rd base and most Astros fans would rather keep Paredes at 1st base but unlikely to move Walker leads to this plus the stros need a LH bat. That is where we are I think there will be a trade but it is to be seen to whom Chandler Rome says it is Boston and Pittsburg and three other teams aggressively pursuing him
As an Astros fan, Bello for Paredes would have worked 2 months ago but not now. Paredes has to be moved to fix the infield logjam and OF questions. He won't be moved without a big league OF coming back in some way. I could maybe see a 3 team deal involving the Cardinals where Paredes goes to Boston, Bello to STL and either Nootbaar or Burleson plus something else to the Astros
Why move Duran??? If you are going to move him at trade deadline when they have asset that no other team has. Injuries come and once they do then the talking heads will say they should not have moved so and so. All experts with some one elses money. If they were GM they would do NADA becausemif they are wrong the job is gone. Talk is cheap.
