As a wizards fan, what exactly would you like us to do? Everyone here can recognize that the smartest thing to do team building wise is to tank our ass off and make sure we keep that pick. I promise, a top 3-4 pick would mean a lot more to us than pick 9 would to you.

Yea its fucked up. I’m getting downvoted to hell in the r/nba sub by Wiz fans for basically saying its sad and pathetic they have to play a YMCA squad to prevent their pick from conveying to us. Its bad faith business plus the Wiz on paper have a solid squad that could compete for the play-in. They also have had top 10 picks for the last 5 years, like how many top draft prospects do they need to build a competent team.
Also what they are doing just like the Mavs a few years ago just proves protections are fucked up and being used in bad faith when they are being agreed upon. Also its crazy how because of time and protections the wiz continue to use a frp every draft they shouldn’t be able to, and over time it changes to 2 2nds.
Said this about them the one game they played us earlier in the season. They had all these old fogies playing with hella young talent on the bench. I’d be playing their asses off.
