Stephon Castle Makes NBA History With 40-PT TRIPLE-DOUBLE | February 7, 2026

Stephon Castle put together a performance for the history books, erupting for a career-high 40 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, and 3 steals while shooting an incredible 15-for-19 from the field.

Castle becomes just the second player in Spurs franchise history, joining David Robinson, to record a 40-point triple-double. At 21 years, 96 days old, he is now the third-youngest player in NBA history to accomplish the feat, trailing only LeBron James and Luka Dončić.

Castle also joins Wilt Chamberlain as the only players ever to post a 40-point triple-double on 75% shooting or better. It marks Castle’s first career 40-point game and second career triple-double — a truly special night in San Antonio.

  1. honestly, I am pretty sure that castle could be a fantastic pf knowing is physicality and skill at rebounds.. Congrats to him, what a player. I can’t wait to see the moment him, wemby, harper and bryant will be at full potential. They gonna emulate eachothers with friendly competition, they are gonna be unstopable in two years. You can see they having fun playing together, I really hope they gonna stay like this and will be serious at training and spurs will keep managing their play time intelligently to keep them healthy

  2. I just realized the Spurs have THREE star-caliber guards Castle, Fox, and Harper. That’s insane. Three star point guards on one team?? Man… that’s unfair

  3. What I love about Castle is his unselfishness. In just this video alone there were several fast break opportunities where he very easily could have used his athleticism to body through the defender, but he instead would feed his teammates who had easier paths. This team in general seems to play with bow ego and with that much talent, they are gonna be scary

  4. He needs the ball in his hands. One of the best guards in the league since last season. 100% would’ve traded fox for Giannis no questions asked.

  5. How do you stop this guy?
Can get into the paint if he wants to. Can spray it out and make you pay for clogging up the line from trying to stop him. Has a mid range game if try to stay back. Starting to hit the 3 more consistently and is a dawg on the defensive side.

  6. Love the mid range from he and Cooper both even though Flagg didn’t have a game here. These young guys are so shifty I really don’t know how you’re supposed to guard them one on one.

  7. The saddest part of the spurs is that pop went through so many years of them being absolute trash and now when they’re really good he is no longer able to coach. I think that’s a shame

  8. In theory the San Antonio Spurs are going to be probably the scariest team in the playoffs. Because what do you do in the playoffs? You want to make their third option or fourth option the main scorer….. who is the third option for the San Antonio Spurs? It’s not Victor. Probably not fox. Oh it’s the guy who just dropped 40/12/12 on 75%+ shooting… who’s their fourth option? Harper? The guy that can get to the hoop at will? Keldon? The sixth man of the year? The scoring can come from anywhere on any given night
