FOX CEO says Fox will ‘rebalance’ sports portfolio if NFL rights increase in price. Sports like soccer and baseball could be on the chopping block

  1. The 2029 K-Pop Demon Hunters 2 World Series presented by Netflix in partnership with Kalshi is gonna be so sick 🔥

  2. Fox would do everyone a favor if they just focused on the NFL and let other networks handle the other sports

  3. Honestly, I do really like FOX baseball games, and I like Joe Davis. I won’t ever forget “THIS GAME HAS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!!!”

  4. FOX can rebalance by having Kalshi bets playing 24/7. No actual sports just all the gambling

  5. I’m fine with Fox no longer covering MLB games. It’s not a coincidence that MLB’s ratings start going downhill after they split with NBC and gave exclusive rights to the World Series to Fox.

  6. I’m not sure how much longer the current business models for sports can last

  7. Regardless of what happens, you can expect the end result to be anti-viewer/consumer, and it will cost more for less content.

  8. i almost thought for a sec that i’d mean they’d pull back some from football, but it didn’t seem to make sense

then i saw they’d sacrifice other sports to the almighty football

  9. Ugh this probably means more baseball and soccer on Prime video, which I refuse to pay for

  10. sounds like a win-win for the nfl. if i’m the nfl i’m hearing “fox just said out loud that they will pay a higher price for our product, and will reduce their coverage of our competition”. way to directly telegraph your negotiation counterpart’s leverage to them.

  11. Fox’s baseball coverage top to bottom is incredible (outside of Smoltz) this would be a huge loss

  12. I’m fine with baseball being its own thing on another network. Fox is no big loss.

  13. I know we dont like fox, but this sucks. Im so tired of the NFL hindering every other sport… like at a time when baseball pulled in high viewership in October and seems to be as popular as its been since maybe the 90s, we keep getting this thrown our way… like it really feels we are going the way of premier league tv rights of having to subscribe to watch games and that will hurt baseball all because these networks want to double down on a sport that isnt guaranteed to be top sport forever instead of diversifying… like why give up baseball rights for nfl rights when its about to be the only major league playing in the summer months and isnt directly competing with nfl during the year… I just don’t understand picking the nba to double down on when that is directly against the nfl during the fall, but what do I know

  14. They can drop NASCAR. Their NASCAR coverage is absolutely pathetic the last about 5 years and continues to go downhill every year. Drop NASCAR and give it to someone who cares.

  15. So the things that are definitely safe from any cuts at Fox are Big Ten college football and basketball (Fox owns the Big Ten Network), the UFL, Indycar, and Horse Racing (Fox has ownership stakes in UFL, Indycar and the regulatory authorities for Horse Racing in New York State)

  16. Can’t wait for that ESPN/Disney+ World Series coverage with Stephen A. and for some reason Kendrick Perkins shouting at each other while a mouth-agape, middle-aged Pat McAfee bleats college kid memes he saw earlier that day.

  17. So I dont know how the NFL is under valued when baseball and basketball player more games. Fox broadcast games 2 games a week while NBC broadcasts the NBA 4 (now 5) games a week. Espn does about the same number of NBA games per week.

  18. I know a lot of ppl will disagree but I for one cannot wait for Fox to lose baseball rights

Fuck Fox Sports. They’re ESPN except more obnoxious
