Ken Rosenthal EXPLODES On MLB’s Skubal DISASTER! “Set Themselves Up To FAIL!” Tigers ALL IN!
Tarik Skubal’s historic $32 million arbitration victory didn’t just stun the Detroit Tigers — it exposed serious flaws in MLB’s arbitration system and could permanently change how elite pitchers get paid. Drawing from Ken Rosenthal’s reporting, this video breaks down how Detroit’s strategy collapsed, why MLB’s Jacob deGrom comparison failed, and how Scott Boras turned the hearing into a landmark moment for player compensation.
Inside the case, you’ll see how the Tigers’ low initial offer and decision to rely on outside attorneys backfired, allowing Skubal’s camp to reframe the argument using free-agent comparisons and elite statistical dominance. The video also explores the stunning optics of Detroit signing Framber Valdez to a massive contract immediately after disputing Skubal’s value, raising major questions about the organization’s long-term planning. Beyond Detroit, the ruling’s ripple effects could shape future arbitration battles, influence upcoming CBA negotiations, and set the stage for rising stars like Paul Skenes to command unprecedented salaries.
This channel covers MLB news, trade rumors, player analysis, and the biggest stories shaping today’s baseball world.

I feel that all pro athletes are overpaid. BUT, given what the market dictates, Skubal is still underpaid at $32M. How is Framber Valdez worth more than Skubal?
This is one of the examples of why im generally turned off of MLB….NOT Baseball as a sport, simply because of the way MLB is run. Baseball itself is still the greatest game !!! The only sport that truly lends itself to literature.
Sports are doing a great job pricing fans out of buying seats and watching it home is getting harder every season. One day they will wonder why people are interested in the sport. People have other choices these days.
now that it's done really does not change things if Scubal is has not signed an extenion shortly he has to be traded and if thet is not done Scott Harris is more stupid than i think and that is pretty stupid……
ALL THESE OVERPAID PLAYERS… DA FANS MEAN MORE TO DA GAME. W/O DA FANS WUT IS BASEBALL…. 19 MILLION IS A LOT OF $$$$… GREED IS INCREDIBLE.. ALL TO COMPARE THEMSELVES TO ONE ANOTHER… BORAS IS A CANCER TO BASEBALL… 🇵🇷🇵🇷NFFN…
When NY and LA signs player big contracts scribes applaud, if it's the Tigers it's a failure. Skubal can be traded anytime for assets.
its too much money for anyone – this year or 10 years ago – ridiculous
Oh plz. The guy couldn’t get pass the 7 inning
He’s not the best picture
Yes 19 million is fair still 'too much' for a guy who pitches 6 innings a week.
Tigers are set up for a fine 2026…relax fella.
Detroit is not done..
Ken Rosenthal is false information!!!!!!!!!!
Publically offer Skubal $250 million for five years with a player option the fifth year. If he doesn’t.’t take it, move on, trade him for a young pitcher ready to be in the rotation and a high prospect bat.
