  1. The fact the Mavs got fined a couple years ago for barely “tanking” while teams like the Jazz, Wizards and Pistons never got punished is insane…

  5. Mavs, I beg of you, don't tank like the Jazz did last game… I'm a Jazz fan and can't stand it, but I still watch yall. Really want the Mavs to compete. I think the Mavs fanbase deserves it. The NBA needs to stop incentivizing tanking, there HAS to be a solution… Sports should be a break from reality, if I want to watch losing I'll just record my life and watch it back…

  6. Is there any reason they don’t just flatten the odds to everyone that misses the playoffs and loses the first round has the same chance in the lottery?

  8. It’s crazy that the Mavs went from having 4 guys that never played, to replacing them with guys who are going to play. So I am curious to see who loses minutes, who loses shot attempts, who has the ball less.. etc. all I hope is that Cooper doesn’t defer to any of the new guys/vets. I want him to continue to have the ball a lot, playmake and stay aggressive. This season is about him more than anything else.

    I noticed he was being ignored by some of the guys in the last game and they had him standing in the corner before he got injured in the 1st quarter. It was crazy to see since he had the ball so much in the last 4 games before that. Suddenly Caleb Martin was acting as the 1st option. Idk I just want to see cooper taking 25 shots a game and remembering that this is his team and I’m a little worried about him not being as aggressive or involved with all these new players coming in

  18. People get too butthurt about tanking, it's the only thing to be excited about in the later days of a shit season for the fans of that team. The partnering with gambling stuff I find much more disgusting

  20. There's a difference between tanking (my team is bad), tanking (my team is injured) and TANKING (we can win games and we choose not to). The Jazz made their choice.

  21. My solution to tanking would be to base draft position not on record, but the teams' payroll rank. Teams with the lowest payrolls get the best picks, and you could even still have a lottery system if the league wants to keep it. There would be zero incentive to tank based on such a system, and the draft would be doing what it was intended – improving talent on the worst teams. To prevent teams from trading away payroll right before the deadline in order to get a better draft pick, you could base it on average payroll rather than year-end.

  22. I think so we should make a roster spot for Moussa cc and we should put Bagley at the four and if we don’t have Gafford anymore, then we could put Bagley at the five and Moussacc can back lively and bagly

NBA should simplify to 2 levels, making the playoffs or not, if you don't make the playoffs everyone has exact same odds and if make playoffs you're out of top 14 lottery picks but have same odds as every other playoff team. Then other than a few play-in teams, all the teams at the bottom have no incentive to keep tanking
