Christian Watson ain’t goin’ nowhere 🤘

  1. I only ask that he play an entire season. His stats would be amazing. If Golden emerges as a great receiver our offense would be brutal towards other teams. Now factor in Tucker Kraft and Josh Jacobs.

  2. Did we extend him out, or is this just a player saying he wants to continue playing for the Packers? I didn’t see anything if he did.

The question though is what would it cost to extend him? He has yet to play a full season, but his value is really good for this team. I don’t think he deserves top dollar or even the top 1/3 money just due to injury and boy of work. This season was his best yet, but he started off hurt and disappeared at times. I’m just curious what we’d have to pay him knowing we have Reed and Wicks right behind him.

  3. If you had asked me at the start of last year if I was hoping for a Christian Watson extension, I would have been weary given his injury history and the frequent dropped balls.

That said, he played some unbelievable football in the second half of the year.

If he can produce like he did this past season over a full 17 game year, to me he becomes a top 10 WR in the league.

  4. We hope he stays too! Glad we extended him but let’s get a long term contract locked in and win a SB

  5. I’d be shocked if GB doesn’t keep him around for several more years, minimum. The offense is night and day different when he’s in, and there truly is no one else on the roster who even comes close to his skillset/ability. Only knock on him is the injuries, which they’ve hopefully solved; when Watson plays, he plays great football.

  6. After what he did at the end of this season, if he stays healthy next year he is 100% getting a long term extension. People aren’t talking enough about how Golden is a replacement for Jayden Reed and not Romeo Doubs. Don’t be shocked if the 2027 WR room is Watson, Wicks, Golden, Williams and 2 rookies.

  7. I am hoping Watson, Golden, Kraft all stay healthy and go beast mode next year. Can’t double everyone and then can’t drop everyone back for Jacobs to run all over them. We get that o line sorted out and stay healthy, we could far next year.

  8. We could have an incredibly promising WR dept this coming year. That’s really good because we need help on the line on O and D.

  9. He is a good #2 receiver. He played admirably coming back from his injury. We seem to play better when he is on the field, but he isn’t worth a huge contract.

  10. Wonder what his dad thinks about this? I’m sure we will know before the day is out…

I would be ecstatic if he stays long term.

  11. Dude is trash. Made of glass. Won’t fight for the ball. Stops short on routes. Soft as cookie dough.
