  1. That’s the thing people don’t understand on reddit. it’s no one’s singular fault. the team as a whole has to step up/maintain consistency. When one person falls, the team falls.

  2. Offense is already so hard to come by that when Bari and Reed are off, it makes everything that much more difficult.

Bad games here and there happen obviously but there’s little room for bad stretches with this squad.

Glad to see him looking for his shot more and of course, making them.

    BIG SHOT BARI.

  3. Add in his defense

I don’t see him being an superstar but he’ll be an extremely valuable switchblade type player. Imagine an Andre iguodolo type impact. Could play multiple positions, drain his shot, provide stellar defense and he’s already becoming comfortable in those last minute shots

The way I see it, post KD our core should be Reed at the 1,Amen at 2,Tari at the 3,Bari at the 4 and Alpy at the 5. That’s a good core. Some of ya may think that’s bad due to current play but here’s a reminder, all of them still years away from hitting their prime and have made consistent improvements. Imagine if we can keep them under friendly contracts and they hit their prime, we got a scary team for a long time.

Reed is in a slump but you can see playmaking and surprisingly his defense improving plus he’s starting to realize if his 3 ball ain’t falling then he should cut

Amen still can’t hit 3s but his ft percentage has jumped very good which is a good indicator and he’s learning how to make plays for other plus he’s shown he can still play great defense with added responsibilities

Tari when not injured is becoming one of the deadlier 3 and d guys who makes hustle plays. I still believe a healthy Tari ends up as our enforcer which every team needs

Bari is learning to be very comfortable taking the ball into the mid range and getting to his spots.

Alpy is showing he can play as the hub

Tldr: Bari is going to be very good along with the rest of our core. If Ime can learn to trust Reed and develop him, let Alpy fully be the hub and learn to roll an offensive scheme set then we’re going to be very good for years.

  4. His dedication on the defensive end can’t be overlooked. He is constantly attentive to his positioning and keeps his head on a swivel to track opposing players. He has good overall spatial awareness. He uses his hands effectively without picking up many bad fouls and keeps his arms extended consistently in the paint (Alpi should take note). He puts in the work to hold his ground against heavier, stronger players. As he fills out and develops his core strength, he will only get better.

His overall defensive package is still underrated and extremely impressive for a very young player still a few years away from starting to peak.

Offensively, despite the inconsistency, he is a solid shooter for a 7-foot big. I think the efficiency and consistency will keep ticking up not only with experience but also when his body fills out. I’d like to see him find ways to finish more around the rim to balance his arsenal and make it harder to defend him.

His physical development alone will take him to another level on both ends. He looks like a late bloomer body type, so I think he will naturally grow more than other players with similar measurements.

He also notably doesn’t let offensive struggles dictate his defensive effort. That’s a very valuable intangible quality, especially at his age. Hopefully, that rubs off on Sengun over time.

Jabari’s overall game is not conducive to highlight reels, which makes him easy to underappreciate. If the team is patient with him.I can see him being a borderline elite defender and near 40% 3pt shooter once his physical growth and, in turn, mechanics stabilize.
