I just wish we would commit to the tank, but this move indicates we are going for a playoff push. I just hope there’s a plan in the works of how we plan to utilize KPJ, Rollins, and Cam. They all play guard and I worry this is move is gonna limit Rollins’ touches and development going forward. Hopefully it all works out the best it can.
Can it work? Sure. It would take Doc limiting his role to a secondary BH coming off the bench. There’s potential for him to fill that role (43% on C&S 3s), but the player he is today is not a good fit for this team or any team.
This team has a severe lack of talent so you gotta try anything you can. If he sucks it helps the tank, if he’s good can help Giannis next year.
My positive take: we’re horrendous on offense and defense anytime Giannis isn’t on the court.
If Cam moves the offensive needle when Giannis sits, that will put enough pressure on teams that we won’t lose those minutes nearly as dramatically as we do now.
I recall Camille on Locked on Bucks saying that we would have flipped half our losses this year if we were just -5 instead of -12 net rating when he sits. (Not when he doesn’t suit up).
With us he will at least be able to compete for a starting spot. Best he can hope for atm.

If he’s good enough to actually get the bucks back to .500, that is a fantastic sign that the team might actually be good enough to compete once Giannis is healthy. If the team still sucks with him, that means that they have a good chance at a high pick for a really deep draft this year. It’s literally a win-win either way.
I’m all for it. KPJ had a similar rep as Cam does and he’s working out pretty well.

I think this proves how much this team offensively was relying on GTJ’s performance. A lot of how we played on offense seemed to be predicated on the idea of him being a microwave bad shot maker that can occasionally drop 25-30 every now and then. Obviously, he hasn’t been that so far, hence us signing a someone to fill in that role.Â
I was against it if they had to trade anything but picking him off waivers for minimum is worth the gamble

Offensively he’s better than anyone on the squad not named Giannis. He absolutely can help the squad. Im hella excited, assuming he buys in.

Excellent acquisition. Had heard through the grapevine a few days ago that it was on the table. Apparently Cams top choice, knowing Milwaukee was in need of a scoring punch/benefit of playing with Giannis, which could also be athlete speak.
Regardless, a very low risk signing where the reward could far outweigh that risk.
I’m conflicted i don’t know if cam thomas is the next gilbert arenas or the next dion waiters.
But either way you have to take the gamble.
A thomas and rollins backcourt has so much potential.
My only issue is. You have 3 really good smaller guards in Thomas, rollins and Porter jr.
Do they all stay on this roster past this season ?
