Nice job sam,🎉🎉🎉🎉
Vikings need to fire Kevin and promote Brian
Only 6 months until football
Now it’s time search out some more expensive has beens and F up the draft. That’s what’s called consistency if your a Viking fan
Drew Lock would of beat the Rams in the NFC championship.. Yea right
QB competition does not develop a QB. If JJ was still working on his footwork he needs to be QB2, picking JJ turned out to be the worst top QB pick
Still we know that if McCarthy was healthy Sam would not have started here at Minnesota. Sam showed how he is able to dodge the rush, he protects himself pretty good, and when he is NOT down points in the game he is great at being patient, but put him down in points, then put the same rush on him he is who he is… as Denis would say. McCarthy showed (in the Bears game and others) that he wins games, although he has not figured out how to keep himself from injury in winning games.
The curse rolls on
Bruh that Pats defense went on a historic run. Completely different game if Darnold almost hits either deep ball. But Sammy was stepping up avoiding sacks and was an Elite game manager. Enough to win with that game. Sam balled out vs Rams too. Stop the cope
Sam’s best ability was availability unlike McCarthy. The Vikings could have easily won 11 games with Darnold. Also they would not have beat the Rams with Drew Lock
Love Sammy D. He is my sunny D
We don't finish 9-8 with Darnold. That was the record with the gong show of QB play we had. JJ will back up Cousins and learn for a year.
JSN was OPOY. Who was his QB? That is why Jets said he would have done better with Sam.
I'm going to say this so every Vikings fans to understand! The Vikings drafted JJ McCarthy in the 2024 NFL draft, if the Vikings NEVER had drafted McCarthy, Sam Darnold would've been resigned!
Seattle Minnesota game broke my heart Brosmer had plays called to make him and the team fail ,I am seriously doubting KOC
I love how Seattle is suddenly this god-tier untouchable roster compared to the Vikings now that Darnold moved there.
Vikes would have been better with Sam this year. The hope is that JJ is going to be better than Sam over the next 10 years.
They better be right cause the Hawks looked pretty good.
By the way Sam played excellent on Sunday and Drew Lock certainly would NOT have won at least the Rams game and probably not last night. Just saying.
Nup.
I disagree.
For the past 25 years you've apparently had to have an elite QB to win a Superbowl, except for the season after we had that guy?
Sorry, this isn't about Sam Darnold; however, it is an indictment of KOC and his inadaptability as a coach.
Not in the playoffs of course but regular season, Darnold had a far better season with the Vikings last year
For me, this was the best outcome of the SB. Sam gets his ring, but yet doesn’t play good enough to make us feel bad for passing on him.
You say it. I don't. Hmm he was in 14 wins with the Vikings. He was in … 14 games … with the Seahawks. See a pattern there?
Sam Darnold manages the game well. Holds his composure. The Seahawks Managed Darnold strength better. Seahawks also had better running game and defense. Congrats Darnold!
Every off season is long😕
Give it up, dude… You’ve been fucking wrong the whole time.
Vikings need better coaching! Need better oc coach. It took 4 years for Vikings to get rid of the OL coach, hopefully the OL will improve next season.
Blah blah blah. Darnold winning a SB in Minnesota isn't the point. Its about Vikinhs making good roster moves. Vikings don't have a good track record.
We'll see if JJ can stay on the field next weason.
This city sucks at politics and keeping good quarterbacks.
We made it to 9-8 with a qb carousel. O-Line started gelling the last month. Went on a five game winning streak to barely miss the playoffs by .5 games.
You honestly believe we wouldn’t be any better without Sam? I honestly believe we would’ve won the North. We were 4-2 in the division and only 2 games behind Chicago that was 2-4 in the division.
They ended up getting the 2 seed. Besides the NFC West, the rest of the NFC was up in the air this season. That 2 seed could’ve been us. Just needed 2 more wins which you’re saying we couldn’t do and the outcome would be the same with Sam?
At least we would’ve been in the playoffs with Sam as our qb this last season. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Look at the Giants in 08 as a wild card 10-6 team winning it all against the undefeated Patriots.
Just gotta make it into the dance and anything can happen.
You say you’re happy for Sam but bring up his mediocre stats from the sb and say he generated the most turnovers. Which is true, but you also bring up the fact that a dozen qb would win a sb with the Seahawks.
You’re definitely hating on Sam subconsciously. You don’t hate on someone if you’re genuinely happy for someone. Kinda like saying to a kid congrats for getting an A in Algebra, but it was easy, you didn’t have to put in the work like AP Calculus. No one says that to a kid. I feel like that’s what you’re doing. Oh congrats to Sam, but he didn’t do anything.
Sam Darnold, once again 'America's Quarterback'. Congrats on the ring, now kindly fade away…..
The big miss here for Vikings fans who believe Sam Darnold would be the same guy in purple, fail to remember that KOC cannot and will not run the ball like Seattle. End of story.
Whatever makes you feel better Andy, we wouldn't have gone 9-8.
I'm glad it's the off season. Now, let's move on
So Darnold didn't ball out in the NFC Championship? Bruh 😂
1. No way in heck Drew Lock would’ve taken this team to the Super Bowl and win
2. Darnold learning a whole new system not surprised he had a slot of turnovers (but he played with the Vikings and didn’t) so what every year can be different
3. I just hear excuses for so many takes, yes it’s your job for an entertainment purpose but come on starting to sound like Fox News with some of your takes.
Love your content but question your takes at times
Darnold is this year's Brad Johnson. Good for him.
I do think everyone's missing the point here. This win will make other teams sit up and say "Don't give up on young, talented, QBs". Like McCarthy, maybe? … there's some wisdom there. Right team at the right time with the right schedule…
When I watch the super bowl all could think about is that, could have been the Viking this year with Sam darnold . When watched Drake May all could think about was JJ McCarthy . Both Not ready for the NFL the moment is too big, and the talent to small. Shouldn't be in the NFL, it is a insult to the league, They shouldn't be on the field.
Minnesota Fans Need to eat this crow
