February 9, 2026 – Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson announced today that the team has signed guard Pat Connaughton.

Connaughton was first acquired by Charlotte in a trade with Milwaukee on July 6, 2025. After being selected 41st overall in the 2015 NBA Draft and spending his first three seasons in Portland, he spent the last seven seasons with the Bucks, winning an NBA Championship in 2021.

  1. Saw this coming when they never announced Branham joining the team or a Pat thank you letter. It makes a ton of sense. The vibes have been immaculate this season, so there’s no reason to rock the boat. Pat has been a great vet!

  2. This front office really values things like team chemistry, vibes, and culture. Since it’s just a back-end roster spot anyway, I think it’s a great move to bring in someone like Pat-a player who can lead by example and brighten the locker room.

  3. Pat and Tillman are the peak vibes, towel waver squad. Happy to have him back. Plus we need someone over 27 on the team

  4. This is a win. Pat’s energy is infectious on the bench, this is amazing for the team vibes

  5. very underrated role he has. he always brought great vibes to the team and seems like a great locker room guy. happy we got him back

  6. This makes me so happy. I was watching the Hawks game thinking “Man this bench needs some pep.”

So glad this guy is back to help lead this team.

  7. I was curious to see what Branham could do, I’ve had my eye on him for a while, but this is the right move. Personalities and leadership matter. Pat has been a real reason for our success this year.

  8. Imagine how weird it will be to see Pat Connaughton in a Hornets jersey. Maybe someone good at photoshop can put it together.

  9. To quote Walker Mehl, these are the “easy wins” that help build the foundations of something great

  10. This just confirms everything that the organization has been saying now with team chemistry going forward. It may be a little move but it makes all the difference with them giving their word on something like this.
