  1. WE CAN THANK LEBRON JAMES, ANTHONY EDWARDS, AND EVERY SUPERSTAR THAT STOPPED PROMOTING THE GAME IN A WAY THAT GREATS DID SO IN PAST ALL-STAR GAMES. IT WAS ONE OF THE TIMES STEPHEN A. SMITH GOT IT RIGHT WHEN IT CAME TO CRITICISM!!!!!

  2. This isn’t the fault of Bron, Ant or any individual player. The dunk contest was canceled for a year prior to Bron entering the league in 1998 due to the 1997 dunk contest. My idea to replace the dunk contest would be to have a 3v3 contest. each team must have 1 player participating in the competition. That totals 30 players. 2 G League players are added to the pool to bring 32 players. The coaches are selected by the NBAPA. The coaches must be 16 retired former all stars who draft the players on live tv prior to the first all star weekend event on Friday. The order of the draft is a lottery snake draft. Coaches have 24 seconds to pick their team. Coaches can have up to 2 assistant coaches of their choosing. 4 players per team. First round is first team to 9 points. Second round is first team to 11 points. Semifinals is first team to 16 and the finals is first team to 21 points. For all the rounds, straight wins, no matter the point differential. Teams have a 12 second shot clock. 3 pointers = 2 points & 2 point shots = 1 point. There are no free throws, when a foul occurs, the team that was fouled gets possession. Make it take it scoring rules. The first two rounds are played the Friday of all star weekend. The semi and finals are played the Saturday of all star weekend. Players from the Winning team each receive $250K ($1M per team). The coaches monetary reward can be TBD.

  3. I think one year they should cancel the all star weekend and then see how the players cry about it.Then, bring it back the following year after a player union meeting and agreement to play strong and see what happens.
