Eh, it would really depend what we give up to get him
Jaycee Horn for Maxx Crosby?
Do yall do it?
Edit: It’s just a question, yall. Lol.
Oh man, wouldn’t that be sweet irony that the Raiders didn’t hire Evero for HC, and he ends up luring Maxx Crosby over to the Panthers in the off-season? I think Crosby would actually fit in with the culture that Morgan, Canales, and Evero have built. Make it happen, Dan!!
Crosby on the phone with Brady: hey Tom, this is Maxx Crosby and I wanted to let you know that Maxx Crosby will never play for the Raiders again. Get Maxx Crosby out of here. Alright, Maxx Crosby gonna hang up now.
If he’s available for this year’s first and change, it would be a no-brainer. If LV want a Parsons level package, I’d think twice, given that he’s a few years older and has had his injury issues.
I’d rather sign Jaelen Phillips if I could, and use those picks. Still, if he really is on the market, you have to have the conversation. An elite edge would make so much difference to our team.
Tom Brady the owner or Tom Brady the sports journalist?
we’re not getting maxx crosby bro
Pretty sure he’s still under contract. Literally signed a 5yr deal just last season lmfao.
His AAV is $35.5 mill per season. We’d have to cut some guys, restructure some guys, and we’ll be struggling to sign anyone else in free agency.
Say we do everything possible to increase our cap. The highest we can possibly get is $75 million. We then trade for Crosby (yes, we’d have to trade for him – likely a 2nd, 3rd, with a late pick type of package). That’s 40 million left… gotta pay the rookies, which is somewhere around 10 million total. They also like to keep 5 to 10 million in case of emergencies (ie, injuries, etc). So worst case scenario, that leaves them with about 20 million to work with in free agency, and that’s IF they don’t re-sign any of their own free agents. You know what you get with 20 mill in free agency? Bums. That’s what you get.
Send the first and a future 4th with it.
The man would be a missing piece that transforms the pass rush
Another W in the win column against the goat 😮💨
We would need to give up like two first rounders and give him a shit ton of money, I don’t see that that’s good for us, we should rather try to get a good free agent or just address it in the draft I think
Depends on the asking price.
Too many first round picks to give up just for Evero to have him drop back in coverage…….
This is a classic ~if it were me playing madden I’d do it, the panthers will never, and the chiefs definitely will~ situation. Think GMs often overthink adding an older great player…it’s always picks picks picks, value this value that. Not saying Dan is in this camp bc he’s too new to judge but i get frustrated when other teams make what seems like an obvious move and our frugal ass is too scared to do so.
