The Raptors are winning on the margins for the first time in 6 years…
The addition of Trayce Jackson-Davis and the potential return of Jakob Poeltl will force some serious decisions from Darko Rajakovic in the coming weeks in terms of who plays and who doesn’t, but this problem is not one the Raptors have been familiar with for the past 4 years. The Toronto Raptors are once again winning on the margins. And if they ever get a fully healthy Jakob and a functional backcourt to surround Barnes and Ingram, this team is jumping a tier in my future Eastern Conference projections.
They’re not hitting home runs out of the park. But as the old Moneyball phrase goes, they’re getting on base.

Ayeeee
With a 145 IQ, I overstand NBAchev.
He tells the truth in a short amount of time. In a world full of lies, EI, don't believe ur eyes and Trump lookalikes. The Truth is wedge between the Rocks of Dadonus.
Chev weels xcalibar. The Truth. In these last days only 5 percent can have such power.
Bit of a fun wrestling comparison but I kind of see you as being the Bret Hart of Raptors podcasting. Maybe not the flashiest compared to others but you focus on fundamentals, substance and story telling and I’m sure that’s what a lot of us appreciate. Teaching and giving back, being blunt and not sugar coating your opinions, maybe taking himself a bit too seriously at times and dry humour was also what Bret was known for haha. But he also evolved throughout his career too.
Is Trayce Jackson what we hoped Ulrich Chomche would be like in 3 yrs?
This new format is really good keep it up Rob great Job
So enjoyable and enlightening, thank you!
I hope we resign mamu , we need his skill set desperately.
double double 1st game in 16 min is wild
really digging the PTI format
Can Ulrich ever come back?
I love this format Rob. You still need to do your educational podcasts sometimes but this is awesome.
I CALL IT LADIES LUCK, …
…THE PISTON DETROIT GAME WILL TELL, WHETHER IT IS MINI DRAYMAR G. (D. JACKSON) or JUST CHICKEN LITTLE … OR WHETHER WE HAVE TO CALL UP MO BAMBA, TO HELP OUT OUR TIMID RAPTOR SQUAD ‼️ 😂
IF THE RAPTORS CAN NOT KEEP A PROVEN PLAYER MAMMU, THEY SHOULD QUITE THE NBA FRANCHISE FOR GOOD, OR NEXT BEST OPTION FIRE CLOWN BOBBY WEBSTER ‼️
Hell yeah Trayce looked good, were going for a Run Raps!
I don't know why the good raptor contract always short and the bad contract always long really long
Another vote for this format. The topic list and 3 minutes clock keep things really focused. Another vote for TJD too. It's not just that I like his vibe and fit. He plays naturally and smart. It's not forced it's just what he does. He may not sustain the particular stats he had Sunday but he will maintain a high level of play and he will grow in the Raptors system and culture. GO RAPS!
Mom Gilligan ' vocal inflections come from his Naija background. (Nigerian). That's how they talk.
Raptors need yak to play or a young replacement center. Move iq to the 2 and develop rj or jakobe as point guard
You hit it on the head!
You are a great basketball analyst.
But your story telling needs a lot of work.
And it's not just having a melodious vocal delivery.
It's also how one delivers bad news.
You have come a long way. That next level jump, is it in you? Only you can decide that.
Like this new format!
If webster knew he cant re-sign sandro, should raps have traded him? What could they get?
True regarding CMB not being a Centre, but he could easily play some effective minutes of small ball Centre for small ball line-ups (he's better built for small ball centre than Scottie is). Otherwise, yes, he's a PF.
Anthony Parker and Garbajosa right up there on "best free agent signings of all-time"!
Great live. I like the ESPN style formatting. It prevents rambling on some topics for too long. Welcome change.
You brought some very important questions going forward for the Raps. Who should stay? Who should we keep trying to develop? Who should be shipped this offseason? Do we have too many of the same tool?
I think we need one or more from the group of Shead, Walter, Dick, Mogbo to specialize in some aspects that helps fit the system we have planned. This way they'll be ready to be subbed in for a unique series. eg. Shead, Walter can become slashers, Dick can become a shooter, Mogbo can be like a Wing stopper who can run fast breaks and set drag screens.
I hope we can find IQ and/or RJ a home this offseason. In my opinion, they have not much room for growth and their fits are limited on either end of the floor.
CMB I think needs to develop as a ball handler so we can have multiple guys that can give shot creation production in the next 3 years.
Goat raptor podcaster , keep up the great work rob.
I really have problems with the preconceptions about Gradey’s defence. I agree that he wasn’t much good early on but I watched him turn a ball handler three times between the mid court and the foul line. Not a peep about it. He has been turning players and creating steals by other players and getting deflections. The extra muscle has given him much more of a defensive presence. Things have changed…his shooting is killing him but he has made strides on the other end.
Other than Eddie Murphy's 'Delirious'(insanely funny) the funniest comedy special I've seen is 'Elephant in the Room' by Patrice O'Neal. But also John Pinette and Lee Evans are murderer's too.
