i don’t think people are ready for how huge a consistently good bears team would be for the league. if you think they spent the last decade gassing up the chiefs ravens and bills, that is nothing compared to the type of smoke the bears would get if they cleared to start consistently making deep playoff runs.
it’s honestly one the reasons i laugh at anyone who thinks the league or the refs have some implicit bias against the bears. if anything, the opposite is more likely true: the league would be more likely to bend a rule or two in the bears favor.
4th and 8 too low, but I ain’t gonna complain about being #1
