  1. No, no, NO. Love Andrew, he was a star. Keyword, WAS. I’ve been saying for years that the rangers problem is that we sign stars that are WAY past their prime instead of developing talent. 90% of the time, it doesn’t work out. The best I could see is him taking over as the leader of the clubhouse, but that’s about it

  2. Assuming the price isn’t crazy I wouldn’t hate this one bit. I think his a presence like his in the clubhouse would be really good for this team

  3. If you’re bringing him into to be a bench presence, for his leadership, to be a fifth outfielder who DH’s some, then fine. But if you are bringing him in for serious playing time, then hard pass.

  4. Only for peanuts as a mentorship role. Cutch will be 40 this year and has been washed for years.

  5. I’d rather save the little money they’d give him to get another bullpen piece or even a 5th starter. I think Rocker breaks camp in Round Rock.

  6. The need another outfielder if for no other reason than protection if Evan Carter gets hurt again – his track record ain’t exactly great. And Helman or Haggerty is not the answer. Not saying that McCutchen is but they need someone.

  7. Maybe as a leadership guy? Platoon him at DH with Pederson? He’s a shell of his former self, so only if we can get him for a bag of peanuts and a free parking spot at Globe Life.
