1. You can't say plug any QB in the Superbowl and they would have won. You could say that about many Superbowls. Its the idea that Darnold was a huge reason they made it to the Superbowl. You cant plug QBs in for the entire season and get to the Superbowl.

8. Just think how much better Sam would have been a second year in the Vikings system with players he is familiar with . Vikings blew it . Would they have made the Superbowl. Don't know that but they would have had a good opportunity from no opportunity.

9. The geniuses running the Vikings gave the Seahawks the Superbowl . He had another 14 game winning season so you never know at least the Vikings would have made the playoffs and once you make the playoffs you have a chance not sure who your defending. Boycott the NFL

17. First 10 games of the Seahawks season, Darnold basically carried the offense. Two weeks ago against the Rams was the real super bowl. That was where Sam shined.

You say, “The Seahawks o-line was great, the defense was even better, Kenneth Walker was phenomenal, and Darnold… just didn’t screw it up.” In your view the quarterback who played lights out in the NFCCG to beat the Rams and get into the Super Bowl contributed nothing positive in the big game. He just didn’t do anything negative. “Sam Darnold didn’t lose the game.” 
    “The Seahawks probably win the Super Bowl with a dozen and a half quarterbacks.” I.e., 18 quarterbacks are at least as good or better than Sam. Which is a way of saying that he isn’t all that great—definitely not top 10. You say, “This is not meant to be disrespect to Sam Darnold and diminish his accomplishments…” but, in fact, your assessment does exactly that. It’s understandable. Diminishing Sam’s abilities as a player makes his departure from Minnesota easier to live with. If the Vikings had let a Super Bowl-winning top 10 quarterback walk out the door it would be an aggravating thing to think about.
    [Personally, I like to think that he has yet to reach the peak of his game. His performance as a qb has been on a decidedly upward trajectory in the past few years and there’s no reason to think that he won’t continue to improve. Give Sam a couple more seasons and his standing in the quarterback hierarchy will become more clear.]
