  1. David Stearns:

"yeah, Kodai is going to be in the rotation"

    SNY:

    "no"

The reality is they need him enough to start the year with him. He's going to be in the rotation to start the year, but probably has the shortest leash of all of the starters. Especially if Tong and Scott look the part in AAA early on.

  2. If it wasn't for Pete, Senga would have been a Cy Young candidate. After Pete got him hurt, he wasn't the same guy. How could you be with Alonso at 1st base? I'm sure Kodai was suffering from PTSD after how badly Pete messed him up!

  3. "Earned" a spot? By failing? you guys must be really looking for something the talk about… As far as I am concerned he needs to earn a spot in either the pen or the rotation by proving h can hack it with no special treatment or limits… PERIOD.

  4. Mets need to take Mania and Holmes and pitch them in 1 start, 4 innings each. Instead of killing the bullpen when either one of those guys can't get through 5. Problem solved!

  5. I really don’t understand the discourse on Senga. He was great in 2023 & was on track to do the same in 2025 until Alonso injured him. When he’s coming back from injury he doesn’t seem to fully trust his body & his mechanics. When he healthy he’s great, it’s that simple.

  6. I don’t know the lady on the end but she’s wrong. If 2 pitchers do indeed get injured, Tong can still develop in AAA, because they have 9 pitchers.
    1- Peralta
    2-Nolan
    3-Senga
    4-Manea
    5-Tobias Meyers
    6- Christian Scott
( Peterson/ Holmes for argument sake gets injured ). Tong can still start in AAA

  7. Didn't he have near the lowest ERA before he got hurt last year? Tong needs time to develop and pitchers are gonna get hurt, especially in NY. I'm glad we didn't trade this guy.

  8. manaea was the worst of the 3 pitchers that lost the season for us… peterson sucked as well.. senga was coming back from an injury…. give him a break guys… he had a 2 era until he got injured for multiple months and even after his collaps he had a 3.02 era… look at manaea had a 5.64… and Peterson 4.22… why arent you focusing on if Manaea has a spot in the rotation??? he lost every game in august and september single handedly… the difference was senga was frustrated from the injury so they could frame it to him as a rehab

  9. Did Dani even watch the Mets last year? The ONLY pitcher to go 6 innings almost all year was Peterson. Menbozo pulled everybody else too early, destroyed the bullpen, and destroyed careers.

  10. Maggie: there are 8 ready starters other than Tong. If 2 get hurt, then there are still 6 starters. Don't forget Myers. This might help you:
    1 – Peralta
    2 – McLean
    3 – Peterson
    4 – Holmes
    5 – Manaea
    6 – Senga
    7 – Myers
    8 – Scott
    9 – Tong
    10 – Wenninger
11/14 – Suarez, Pintaro, Hangenman, Waddell

  11. Ask her if senga is not a starter because what happened in the second half what about Holmes how many times did he go to the 6th is he a starter lol or manaea
