Ovi had some wheels in those days.
A couple brutal defensive zone turnovers from our guys, didn’t matter in the end.
That was the third time in franchise history that the Caps defeated the Penguins after trailing by 3 goals.
The other two were a 6-3 win at home in the 1989-90 season on the day after Christmas and a 4-3 win on the road early into the 2008-09 season.
The Capitals have won a total of 31 games while down by 3+ goals, with the latest one being the 4-3 OT home win over the Hurricanes on January 31. Out of those 31, 5 of them were won after a 4-goal deficit.
