Super Bowl LX Proved It: The Chicago Bears MUST Fix the Defense | Press Taylor Promoted
In this episode of The Morning Breeze, we break down why Super Bowl LX was a defensive showcase that underscores a major message for the Chicago Bears heading into 2026. After watching the Seattle Seahawks’ dominant defense in their 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX — a game defined by relentless pressure, turnovers, and a historic defensive performance — it’s clear the Bears must address the defensive roster this offseason if they want to compete at the highest level.
We also discuss the Chicago Bears’ promotion of Press Taylor to Offensive Coordinator , what that means for the team’s offensive continuity, and how the lessons from Super Bowl LX should shape Chicago’s defensive priorities in free agency and the draft .
Whether you’re a die-hard Bears fan or just love NFL analysis, this episode breaks down the blueprint from the biggest game of the year and why defense isn’t optional if Chicago wants to rise to NFC contender status in 2026. 👀🐻

I've never been this excited about the off season 😅🐻⬇️
I don’t like poles picking free agent Defensive players he always picks players nobody wants we have to draft
This is why I would look to trade DJ or Cole to put the money on the defensive side. We're gonna need it for sure to win a SB.
Hope your daughter is feeling better. I almost turned the game off.
I hope this puts that Drake v Caleb debate to rest. It shouldn’t have been a topic anyway. Way too soon
Aye Pat you and me the same. It was just me and the game. My family didnt really bother me. Had my drank, my Joint, and football. I enjoyed it because ive always like the Seahawks defense since they got Riq, then Witherspoon the next year, that defense showed up for sure, i was chilling lol
Did you notice how many Field Goals Seattle kicked before their first TD?
Worth noting that Seattle does not have a particularly big name on their D line…….Bears do not need to chase Maxx or Trey – they need to upgrade DT's (I have given up on Dexter). And they need their secondary to return to health….
Is bearish fan who we all from this area of the world like defensive players? The most usually you know, we love that great head, that great tackle that was a hell of a game for those of us who love defense.
Maybe it just wishful thinking. But the last few mocks I've seen by different sources, have katen McDonald's fallen out of the top 20 to the bears. If that nose tackle falls, you grab his a** and there's a couple good three texts in the second round you pair with those 20, my god, that's that's the future set.Right there. Then, you're strong of the middle versus the run, and the pass
ENJOYING YOUR OWN COMPANY IS NEXT LEVEL BELIEVE ME💯🫡 ALOTTA HUMANS CANT DO THAT…
About the Ian Cunningham picks… I'm sure the NFL is very nervous about our current administration and their conflation of any, and all things Civil Rights into reverse discrimination is at the top of their minds about giving us those picks… I can see an orange tweet where he announces them as the next target/stunt to distract everyone…
No edges. Need two nasty DT's and the dominos will wall.
Everytime they're talking….they talking about DT's
Give me Lee Hunter or Kayden McDonald!
So we not getting those pick backs
Perfect draft for bears DT DT LT LB Safety.
Drake doing a superbowl would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes reading your bible is a bad message Pat…. 18:00
So tired of seeing these fair weather fake fans turning on DJ Moore. He has done nothing but give his all for this team since he stepped into Halas Hall. At one point he was our whole offense, every team knew it and he still produced. So anyone saying that they should let him go can shut up.
In 2023 the Jaguars were 13th in total yards and 9th in passing yards. In 2024 Trevor Lawrence was out for 7 games with injury. I'm not a Press Taylor defender (and what's with going from Decklen Doyle to Press Taylor, two of the whitest names I have ever heard in my life), but I think one could fairly attribute the drop in rating to Lawrence injured… seems like a better explanation than the OC just started sucking…
J from Bolingbrook my Brother. We need to stop the run that's the Blueprint then you get the right to rush the passer. That's how you build a defense period. We need 2 DT and an edge. Edge is Gabe Jacas Illinois. Draft one DT either Caleb from Florida or Kayden Ohio State. Safety either Dillon Thinneman or Jalon Kilgore SC. Let Brisker go one good playoff game doesn't make it. He won't hold up. Great guy. But it's time to go. Sign Byard The 3rd. Cut Billings. D Rob had 3 years he got to go. A new D line of Booker Sweat Dexter and to new hungry DT is the stuff. Love your content Go Caleb! Go Bears!
I would complain if Crosby shows up. Bears have too many needs. Use the draft and your picks!!! And you gotta find a LT which they were not expecting! Stop having Ryan Pace fever and be patient!
I think Bears should focus on Interior this year via draft and sign/trade for edge in FA
