New York Mets Are They Better? – Rico Brogna Episode 633

In this offseason we’ve seen the roster completely turn over. Fan favorites have left the building like Brandon Nimmo, Edwin Diaz and Pete Alonso. The replacements of Bo Bichette, Marcus Semien, Jorge Polanco, Luis Robert Jr. and Freddy Peralta are here. The question isn’t if we like what David Stearns did. The question is “Are the Mets better?”. Well, are they?

The Rewatch Episode is returning. This year we will have two rewatches. The first will take us all the way back to 1986, Game 6 of the World Series. To rewatch follow the link • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0jV_kNs2p0

The 2nd rewatch is the day baseball came back to New York after 9/11. The Mike Piazza home run game. • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVEHuRnJbSU

  1. Starting pitching is better and more importantly, DEEP.

    Peralta
    McLean
    Holmes
    Manaea
    Peterson
    Senga
    Myers
    Tong
    Scott

9 starters that I feel can give you a solid start. Hopefully we can avoid the Hagenman and Tidwell and Pop games this year.

  2. The team is clearly better once you take off the Pete Alonso blinders. This team is more in line with a modern approach. More contact, better base running, more athleticism, better defensively

  3. Nope! Two moves ruined the season. Re-sign Pete for extra $10M a year over Polanco and re-sign Diaz over Williams. Done deal. Stearns f’d up royally. Cohen should have stepped in. Diaz made a reasonable request and Mets didnt fulfill it. They played games with deferrals. Pete s contract perfectly fine at 31. Not watching this video. Everyone f*** off. It’s done.

  4. Clearly a more balanced athletic team than last year. Stop crying over Alonso, Nimmo, McNeil, & Diaz. A change HAD to be made. 6-7 years IT HASNT WORKED! This car now has a new engine.

  5. I think the team is better, maybe by a few more wins. Having, hopefully, MacClean and Freddie all season long making 28 to 32 starts. Offensively, maybe took a step back from a power perspective but we now have better overall hitters like Bo, Jorge Polanco, Marcus to a degree, more at bats for Baty and Vientos. We shall seee

  6. Will Contreras was a catcher. A CATCHER. He was moved to 1st and had better defensive #’s than Alonso in his 1st year lol. Oh, and by the way, did not injure any pitchers with his throws.
