"Multiple NFL executives whose teams have been engaged in hiring new coaching staffs indicated that Schwartz is thought of very highly by the Raiders and rookie head coach Klint Kubiak, and they expect that's where the well-regarded defensive play caller will land. Sources have told SportsBoom that Schwartz is more than open to helping Brady and Kubiak rebuild that unit after Pete Carroll failed in one year there as head coach (and defensive mastermind)."

  1. Both the front office AND Klint Kubiak seem to be on board with Schwartz, who’s a top 3 DC in the NFL if not higher.

Schwartz made not one but two players last seasons Player of the Year and he’ll be a great pair with Klint.

  2. I don’t understand why he would do it though. He wanted a HC position and that is not happening in LV.

I want Schwartz but it just doesn’t line up to the “why” behind him wanting out in Cleveland.

  3. We can’t poo poo the SportsBoom article about Madd Maxx and take this one seriously literally the very next day.

  4. Same guy saying this reported Maxx Crosby told Tom he’ll never play for the raiders again and he heard that from an unnamed GM.

sure gym shorts can come here, but I’m not believing la confora.

  5. Boooo… I would rather them go with the Macdonald defense unless Schwartz is willing to run it. Modern offense + modern defense is the way.

  6. I look forward to seeing what they do with the position coaches as well. Team has a lot of young talent that needs to be developed – especially OL. Raiders have reputation for drafting poorly in the past, but I think part of the problem has also been in player development.

  7. Doesn’t he have a similar deal to Tomlin where he’s still under contract and can’t coach anywhere unless traded for?

  8. At this point, I’m pretty sure these outlets read through reddit comments and claim them to be “Sources”

I’ll believe it when I see it.
