Great article on Pat Spencer by Nick Friedell in the Athletic. It's behind a paywall, but wanted to share this quote from Buddy Hield, already in Atlanta. Very cool about Pat, but beautiful about Buddy. A true gem:
"He’s like one of the coaches over there,” former Warriors guard Buddy Hield said. “Because in [the] film session he’s always talking, so he knows what the coaches want and he has that eye. He has a great basketball mind. I think he’s going to have a bright future after basketball in this league, too. I love him a lot. … I understand him. I understand his struggles.”

Buddy is for sure one of the players coaches always wish well and feel bad about trading.
I’m sure Buddy’s always talking as well but nobody understands him so he got traded. /s
Kidding aside, that’s a great thing to have for Pat – having that mix of confidence to share his thoughts and humility to be coachable, then performing well on the court is a hard mix to achieve.
I’m not crying you’re crying
