Lindor has stress reaction in his left hamate bone

  1. Hopefully he recovers well, whether that means surgery or no. Glad they addressed it early.

  2. I feel besides the fact lindor has slow starts and will have no spring training. This is super low threat, we have plenty of depth

  3. The season starts 6 weeks from Thursday. If Lindor gets the surgery, he’s going to need at least two weeks of a rehab assignment to get going.

  4. What a stress ‘reaction’ as opposed to a stress fracture? I never heard of a stress reaction in my life. Surgery ‘maybe’ makes it sound dire, but if it’s just a stress issue maybe 6 weeks of PT would be just as good if not better than surgery and still have him good to go for opening day. Wild rumors from the hot stove league are infuriating

  5. Bruh, it’s only just pitchers and catchers today. Not even one day of spring training of any kind without an injury. Oy.

  6. So, have they confirmed the diagnosis? When they said “evaluated” I thought it was a presumption they had to test for, but does this mean he definitely has that diagnosis and the evaluation is just about whether he needs surgery or not?

  7. Season over . Does anyone honestly think this isn’t going to be a problem thst lingers into the season

  8. My favourite thing about being a Mets fan is how many bones and ligaments I learn about that I never knew existed.

  9. 7 weeks before opening day! I was wondering when we would have our first injury!!! LFGM!!!

  10. So they plan on rushing him back to the field after missing all of spring training. Most teams would have him do a rehab assignment but when the GM is feeling the heat that goes out the window.

  11. Baseball season is generally regarded as starting after the Super Bowl. We made it one day.

  12. Amazing how this is announced the day after the mega expensive tickets for opening day go on sale. I’m sure no correlation.

  13. Now im really glad he was denied the WBC because i have a feeling he would of played hurt not to let PR down and would have been even more hurt in the process.

  14. You know who doesnt have a stress reaction in his left hamate bone?….pete alonso

  15. Stearns, who is not a doctor and has no idea how Lindor’s hand will handle the rehab/recovery process, is confident Lindor returns for opening day

  16. I was downvoted a few days ago for saying he looks like hes in pain when throwing and that he should be eased into baseball activities. I praised the careful approach and him avoiding the wbc because if this. I guess this vindicates me.

  17. Get the surgery now, you don’t want this to be a lingering issue throughout the season.

  18. Unless this happened in the last couple days he had to of postponed surgery to play in the WBC. Either way, Lindor got half our team traded and now he’s missing spring training we shoulda just shipped this locker room diva for Tatis and been done with it

  19. Already getting the dreaded feeling of reading people’s replies in here. Injuries are gonna happen, hopefully he misses minimum time but if he does if the team is good enough they can sustain

  20. I think the worst thing about this is that Lindor Struggles after his “banged up” injuries were just guaranteeing a slump and slow start out the gate by him with this news
