Eric Allen: “After hiring offensive coordinator Frank Reich last week, the Jets finalized their offensive coaching staff with six additions — quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave, tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts, offensive assistant/assistant quarterbacks coach Thomas Merkle, assistant offensive line coach Al Netter, pass game coordinator Seth Ryan and offensive assistant Matthew Sargent.
Musgrave, 58, has 30 years of coaching experience on the pro and college levels. He most recently was the Browns’ quarterbacks coach in 2025 after spending two seasons in Cleveland as the senior offensive assistant. Musgrave has handled offensive coordinator duties for 11 seasons with six teams — the Denver Broncos (2017-18), Oakland Raiders (2015-16), Minnesota Vikings (2011-13), Jacksonville Jaguars (2003-04), Carolina Panthers (1999-2000) and Philadelphia Eagles (1998). During his time as offensive coordinator or quarterbacks coach, Musgrave helped three quarterbacks to Pro Bowl selections, including Derek Carr (2015-16), Matt Ryan (2010) and Steve Beuerlein (1999).”

  1. The only issue I'm scared of is our QB. We're had great staff before BUT the QB has always been the issue when on offense. If our defense can actually somehow improve and we get a decent QB we "should" be ok

  2. You guys be killing me with this "YOU WOULD HAVE TO TRADE FOR HIM" nonsense when discussing "over the hill" and "washed-up 35 and 36 years old QBs, and reclamation QBs. Why would any person with common sense trade assets for garbage. It would be like the Jets looking in a "relatively empty cupboard" and deciding to spend their windfall on a crate of out-of-date Spam. Honestly, Arizona and Atlanta should have to send assets to the Jets for the Jets to assume the contracts of Murray and Cousins. Maybe a 7th rounder, but even then, their respective teams would have to eat some of Murray's and Cousins"s salaries, real talk.

  3. So far the ship is being pointed in the right position. Glenn is not stubborn in the wrong way. And i can tell Woody is not moved by those who clamor for a new head coach every year, leaving the team dysfunctional.

  4. Jets fans are truly the People's temple of the NFL. One week ago we all recognized what a dumpster fire this was, but all it took was a couple average hires at coordinator and position coach and we're back to chugging koolaid. the real shame? If fans were willing to be honest about the state of things, ownership might actually change. I think our fanbase is the reason we will never be successful.

  5. Where were these hires last year?? Regardless im happy Glenn finally figured it out.. now it’s time to see something good.. idc about these hires come september, i better see 10 wins this year

  6. I think getting all this experience coaching wise on offense and defense makes this off season so far at least look promising. Lets see if all these coaches are going to mesh together…Sometimes these long term coaches are hard headed and want to do things their way only…I am hoping this all works out because if we have a solid draft and get some really good free agents this team should play well this year. I'm not saying they are going to win the AFC east, I'm not that crazy but I think we stand a chance to at least be in every game we play…
