22. Nope, we don't have a chance. I think a lot of Maverick fans forget life is a bad team in the NBA. Superstars either stay with that team. Go to contenders or playoff teams. That's the reality. So unless the Mavs sneak into the playoffs then it's a no.

If someone can guarantee the health of Kyrie and Giannis from the start of season (so we can be top 3 seed; 40-20; etc.) through playoffs, I'd do the trade regardless of lottery outcome, because it's the best chance we have at a chip for the next 6-8 years – and it'd be one of the coolest chips ever with two of the best closers in basketball history. BUT…since we can't guarantee their health, I would not be able to pass up on Peterson in particular, because Peterson's archetype is the most important in basketball (2-way tall guard who's 3-lvl scorer). That being said, potential picks 2-4, get ready to speak Milwaukeean.
