We need 3 tight ends for the scheme so just sign both and make an exit deal on pitts contract on the third year like Mooney

He was making abt 14 mil a year, franchise tag for Pitts would be 16.
Also don’t forget London will most likely be extended this offseason and bijan is coming up too. The falcons already spend almost double on the offense compared to the defense.
He’ll wind up on the Chiefs.
Spotrac has his next contract prediction a 10 mil per for 1-2 years. That sounds low, until you consider he’s missed 12 games the last two years, has never gone over 1k yards, and might be as bad of an in line blocker as Pitts.
You’re better just franchising Pitts and looking to fill 12 and 13 personnel with better blocking tight ends.
But then again, I heard Joe Patrick on 92.9 tonight say that he thinks this team franchises Pitts and looks to move him to get a couple picks back in this year’s draft.
No thanks. He’s Pitts 2.0 but would cost more in the open market than a tag in Pitts.
