How do these people not see the absurdity in this type of fandom. Its like a Yankees, Knicks and Patriots fan.

  1. The Rams were in St Louis a while. San Francisco was a close team them and great in the 90s. It isn’t that crazy.

  2. There was a 20 year gap when the Rams were in LA. Back then the Rams were eh and the 49ers were good so doesn’t surprise me that someone would be a fan of the 49ers especially if they are used to winning like with the Lakers and with the Dodgers.

  3. LA based niner fans at Sofi against the rams “Beat LA”. LA based niner fans at Dodger stadium, “Giants suck”.

LA based niner fans, Pure retardation.

  4. Forget them! As a day one Rams fan, we have always been the under dogs. Im from LA and im the only Rams fan in my family of over a few hundred that has been in LA since the early 1900s. It feels good seeing their sorry ass teams lose like the Raiders and Cowboys. Once we have a consecutive run, everyone will switch over. We will be California’s team.

  5. i’ll bite & i’m prepared to get downvoted

there was an entire generation of NFL not in LA. my older cousins got me into the 9ers as they wanted to get into football & that’s who ive repped since

it makes no sense to switch teams after so long because that’s looked down upon in ANY sport for ANY circumstance. i simply grew up with the niners before the Rams/Chargers came back so what was i supposed to do? I have an honest question, if I was to hypothetically say “im no longer a 49ers fan, I will be joining the Rams fandom rn” how would you guys feel about me? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something along the lines of “oHhH sO yOuRe A bAnDwAgOn HoPpEr NoW hUh”

maybe you should blame the chargers/rams owners why did they each leave LA respectively?

  6. The one thing to consider is that the team moved within the last decade. I was a fan of the rams LONG before they were an LA team. I could see some allegiance being built before the move.. LA didn’t have a team before then.

  7. I dont understand yall in this sub. Yall know the rams were in St. Louis for many years right? There are still rams fans in that area.

I say that to say, people are allowed to like who they like. Just because someone likes the Dodgers doesn’t automatically mean they have to be rams fans. I know the rams have a history in LA but there’s alot of people who weren’t around for that.

Not to mention there are 2 teams in LA. What’s stopping someone from being a chargers fan? (Other than them sucking for a long time lol)

I live in New Jersey and have been a die hard rams and sixers fan all my life and never plan to change.

All I know is fuck the whiners and the Celtics. Let people like who they like, especially across different sports. Just my 2 cents from a none LA resident fan

  8. Blame Georgia Frontierre. I know a 49ers fan whose dad was a lifelong Rams fan since the 1950s. He broke that Rams tradition in his family and became a 49ers fan because of the Rams move to STL in 1995

  9. LA didn’t have a football team for a long time and he preferred the niners over the chargers

    Don’t think that’s v hard to understand

  10. Guessing it was they grew up watching when it was the San Diego Chargers and Saint Louis Rams. So options were Raiders and 49ers for Cali

  11. Followed the Rams from LA to STL back to LA. This shit is cringe even if LA didn’t have a squad for awhile

  12. Maybe they were a fan of lakers and dodgers then got drafted by 49ers or have a friend or family member on the 49ers.

  13. Who cares lmao. There was a time where LA had no football team, so some fans chose to adopt the niners or raiders. Why do people care so much about other people

  14. Rams were in St Louis and Chargers were in San Diego. Dodgers fan doesn’t want to root for a San Diego team so niners become the best option. Not that crazy.

  15. I was at dodger stadium once and I hear this guy just yell, “who all are 49ers fans?” lol no one answered

  16. I’m glad these people are increasingly becoming a laughingstock.

You’re singing “I love LA” on Saturday, then chanting “Beat LA” on Sunday? Clown behavior.

  17. I don’t get it either. I know the Rams were gone but Raiders makes more sense to me. The Chargers make more sense. Why ever the 49ers?
