[WQAD 8] New Iowa bill hopes to lure the Chicago Bears to the Hawkeye State

  1. That’s actually hilarious.

To troll, a representative from Green Bay should file a bill to have the Bears move there to share Lambeau with the Packers.

  2. Whether or not the Bears moving to Indiana is a serious risk or a bluff, there is zero chance they’re moving to Iowa. I don’t even think the league would approve that move.

  3. I think Iowa should have an NFL franchise. Take the Jaguars out of Florida and rename them the Des Moines Pumas or something. They could even stay in the AFC South, despite being more north than Indianapolis.

  4. At this point, just take a page out of the Patriots’ book and become the Midwest Bears. What city is more Midwest than Cedar Rapids?

  5. Move the bears to Calgary, Canada. They can share McMahon stadium (it’s a huge shithole) with the stampeders and I bet the boys would really enjoy the stampede.

  6. i propose the build the stadium in the lot behind my house that used to be a little league field. i mean, since we’re all getting in on it

  7. As a Bears fan living in Salt Lake City, I am really excited to see them eventually play next door to the Phoenix Coyotes…Utah Mammoths.

  8. Jesús Christ I’m a Hawkeye and a Bears fan and don’t want this to happen. Just pure idiocy.

  9. Imagine being an Iowa resident right now. They live in a State that’s been gutted by tariffs, 1/8 of Iowa residents need food assistance, 2/3 of Iowans saw their healthcare costs go up dramatically, their GDP is 49th in the country, 200,000 people can’t afford their gas/electric bill right now, and yet they’re all about giving tax breaks and other incentives to a private business with billionaire owners. Think about that. Talk about a big F-you to the residents.
