Sure let’s just trade up to 13 for no particular player or reason

So if Stroud balls out and WAJ stays on course like he has been since being drafted, explain how you pay both of those guys next year?

Why wouldn’t the team just extend hunter another year
We could make the best offseason moves, but until we actually see them play then It won’t matter.
Cade Mays would be a fine addition I suppose, but I think Linderbaum should be the target. Having him anchor the interior for the foreseeable future and be the QB of the offensive line would pay the most dividends. We have not had an elite center since Chris Meyers and it has certainly showed. It would also make it more palatable to trust him with the development of rookie guards so we could kick Tytus back out to RT. Bring back Trent as a backup.
WAJ is getting paid this offseason. No way around it.
1. Cutting Mixon, yes. Cutting Edwards? I don’t know about that.
2. If there can be a cap benefit, sure.
3. For the right price, sure.
4. Lockdown Anderson, CJ needs to be on a prove it deal.
5. I’d rather have Tyler Lidnerbaum if he’s available.
6. Don’t know about 3 year, but getting him if he’s available is a good move.
7. Yes.
8. No.
9. Depends on if Caserio decides to trade out of the first round.
10. Major Yes to this.
Ummm Stingley and Hunter earned their contracts
Any plan on getting the Texans to the SB that doesnt involve mechanically and mentally fixing our mess of a QB is a plan that will fail
Not signing WAJ to an extension now would be some bull shit cuz he has earned it and it would cost them more in the long run to wait
I would not extend Schultz, think we can do better.
I don’t really get moving to 13 unless there is a key player in mind. If it was for a guy like TE – Sadiq, I would do it but that’s not enough to move that far.
Everything else sounds good on paper, but a lot of factors that play in.
1. I say re-evaluate them. Release Bevin Jordan (injury prone)and Christian Harris (same)
2✅
3. Agreed, but look at the TE talent pool
4i agree with everything else
Probably a dumb question (I’m a Colts fan what do you expect) wouldn’t there be some incentive to re sign WAJ sooner than later since he’s going to become more expensive as time goes on. He’s already going to reset the market in my opinion.
1. Stop Cj fumble #1
2. Stop Cj int #1
3. Stop Cj fumble #2
…
Get the pattern?
Trading up for a defensive players seems crazy and I can see the Texans doing it

Same vibes
Ngl….id pay WAJ this offseason if possible.
I couldn’t think of a dumber thing to do than number 2.
Like it could be the dumbest possible thing we could do as an org.
WAJ and CJs contract don’t spike for 2 more years. Once that happens, our cap will be destitute.
Nick already decided not to push his chips forward after cutting Tunsil and not addressing the oline. So now we are going to make a late attempt at the same plan?
We should have been either front loading high price contracts for the last 2 years so now that things are tight they would have had the bulk of those contracts paid or they should have gone all in. We did neither because as usual, Caserio has no plan for this team other than draft defense. At least he is good at that.
1. Release Stroud.
2. Fire Demeco
3. Super Bowl
They need to extend WAJ now before the price goes up again. CJ can play out his rookie deal
Too inflexible or just this flexibility should be taken at the right time? You keep trying to explain basic cap shit to me but ignore what is happening with our team. Can the Texans do it? Sure, but why? Why didn’t they go all in when it actually made sense last year or the year before? You just keep saying they can with no plan. That is the point and that is the problem. Why was Tytus Howard ‘s contract back loaded when we didn’t have shit to pay for and lots of money in the books?
What you are saying isn’t factually incorrect but it reads like someone that has no idea what team we are talking about.
We GOTTA get consistent O-line play from SOMEWHERE. Watching the Super Bowl had me feel like even if we’d have made it, we would have looked JUST like Drake Maye and the Patriots offense. Unable to block an elite pass rush resulting in a QB with a super fast mental 🕰️
I don’t understand where this narrative of drafting a DT early is coming from? The IDL rotates like no other in our scheme like the 2nd and 3rd string DTs getting nearly as much playing time as the starting DTs. Didn’t Togiai just prove we can develop DTs relatively easily? We also have Kyonte Hamilton that was our 7th rd pick last draft and on our practice squad all season. Yes, he was only a 7th round pick but I can see him becoming part of the rotation next season. I say we get another Kyonte in rd 5-7, maybe find another Togiai post roster cut day from another team, resign most of our current DTs even if they are old, ad maybe sign 1-2 DTs in FA for more rotation. Rd2 needs to be IOL imo.
I don’t see the point in trading up 15 spots in the first for a guard when there’s A LOT of day 2 prospects at IOL that are very good. If we’re going to spend the draft capital to trade up that far in the first it needs to be for Downs or Love. Only trade up for a generational prospect, otherwise we should stick and pick or trade down (my pref option if we don’t trade up is trade down with Jets so they can draft Ty Simpson and we take BPA with the Jets 2nd (then IOL with commanders 2nd if BPA wasn’t IOL)).
They forgot, “Repair the hole in the bottom of Nick Caley’s clue bag.”
